Just got the XTB trailer and gonna put the combined mode soon. I went in on all three sets of Stunticons and FT will be the display for Botmode, DX9 for vehicle, and XTB for combined mode. I didn’t know that you had so many problems with your Xtransbots drag strip, I didn’t have any problems with mine breaking or anything, man that’s crazy. I think Xtransbots is going to win this one though for the combined mode😉 wait till you get yours together you’ll see brother, great video keep them coming, your doing a great job! Yes. Every transformer should always be easy to change like the vintage transformers, because it makes it more fun for kids to play with and more fun for us to change.
Great video, I think your Bright studio lights made Smokey look like he was glowing. I know the yellow is bright but not that bright. I agree with everything you said. To be honest I love xtransbots, but I think they really need to get better with there engineering design. Plastic being stressed because of poor transformation design is there biggest problem. Is almost like every figure they make is plagued with this problem. Not only does it cause breakage, it also stresses the plastics. As always great video review!

This was a fun comparison video to watch. Having both of these figures now, I certainly agree with pretty much all of your points. An addition to point out is that Overheat's car mode rolls in a quite stiff way, whereas Smokey rolls very smoothly. However, I have one correction to make: quite exceptionally, every part of Smokey is NOT painted. Its hands and thighs are actually just yellow, unpainted plastic.
I have all 3 sets so far and I believe with Drag strip, FT failed here. Bot toon accuracy will go to DX9, Alt goes to Xtransbots. I love My FTs set but this Alt mod does not blend in well with the other 3 that look real world and Drag strip looks like a Go Kart instead of a RL indy car. I'm also worried about the weight of The Combined mode of FTs. The arms are already heavy, not sure how they can make it hold poses without a locking system on the shoulders.
Love fanstoys- paint and sculpt are always on point. That said- they are making a very very bad habit of not giving articulation as much detail/love. No excuse for lack of ab crunch let alone only 90 degree elbow and knee bends... for that kind of money, it’s total BS.

On another 📝 do u think they're gonna re-issue cyclonus when x-transbots re-issues their version, they did it with Apache last Sunday, luckily I check all my transformer sites everyday and I jumped on it and that was @12:20pm and by 4:30 he was sold out @Tfsource, and the chosen prime didn't even last an hr they were letting customers buy 3@a time. Anyways thank u again 4 another awesome 📹 be easy brother 👍👍and stay safe👋
Preorder just came thru on Smokey - looks solid as all of FTs. Got all the Xtb’ s - kit / trailer and all, but waiting for a good vid to put them all together safely. The knees & side hips w/ no solid ratchets is worrying. Hope Xtb puts out an upgrade kit or it may be on my sell list in near future. FT is my only other hope 🙂. Never going the Dx9 way.
For sure FT is better than XTB, yeah XTB is cheaper, that’s because FT is more expensive for a good reason. I mean the retail, resell price is totally another story.
I'm not sold on the fans toys combine mode, that can't be it for smokey ( drag strip ). If that's how its gonna look then fans toys lost me on that , just have to wait and see 🤷🏾♂🤷🏾♂🤷🏾♂

Either way that to much for the figures to cost. Way to much. If they was cheaper then people would buy more and the companies would make more money. If the product is sky high then there will be less collectors or parents buying them for kids

Good review. Although I would say the XTB alt mode is way better as it's a pretty accurate replica of the Tyrell P34 F1 car it's supposed to be. The FT one is waaaaay out and at that price I expect the alt mode to look like the car it's supposed to be.

Ya I am also concerned about the weight but I can't imagine FT putting out their first combiner with poor stability
That FT arm mode is not gonna hold a weapon with that elbow joint being as flimsy as it looked. 😬

It squeezes between the arms I believe, I don't have the trailer yet so I'm guessing a little
