If you've never listened to much rock or metal before then you should definitely start at the top of the list. In regards to the more recent stuff I posted the most accessible ones to get you into it would be the Tool songs, Pantera songs (especially Cemetery Gates) and the Anthrax songs. Only has a good melodic vibe to it despite being heavier its not growly and aggressive where as Bring The Noise is the original Public Enemy track with full blown Thrash Metal guitars. A lot of fun. Chuck D and Flavor Flav doing there thing.
