This will explain why Jesus died on the cross(he didn't actually die, saints know the mystery behind it, but for commoners, He died like an ordinary man) The Bible teaches that Jesus' suffering on the cross will save those who believe in Him and become Christian.
The aspect of surrender is hidden in this word-Christian- meaning, you have accepted Jesus as your God and you will follow His teachings and Love God i.e you have surrendered to Christ... who is God personified.
the sanchit karmas of a true Christian. who truly is surrendered to God, are burned up by the belief Jesus' who was the avatar of God.
Coming to Islam, the word Islam itself means in Arabic- Surrender to God...
Surrender is to give up your will and do God's will... God presents His will in scriptures and through saints... A Muslim is someone who has surrendered to Allah, the Supreme Highest God.
What to say about Hinduism, Swamiji has emphasized this topic of surrender so many times..
Surrender to receive the grace of God and His infinite causeless mercy...
Only humble people are able to surrender to God... those who were bullied by others and were mocked by society, are God's dear ones and are worthy to receive His grace...
As Saint kabir said- the path of devotion is extremely narrow, either keep God or your ego, but both can never go together hand in hand in "prem ki gali"
Being the tartastha the marginal potency of God we can become either materially inclined or spiritual inclined when we remain material inclined we attempt to enjoy material nature and the more that happens the more natures influence on us is strengthened, but when we become Bhaktis ( devotees ) of God by engaging in acts of devotion we are actually interacting on the absolute platform of reality and according to the intenseness of the devotion the more our consciousness gravitates too God and when that happens the attraction that we have for maya vanishes and in that state we are liberated.
But without surrendering to God that state of consciousness will never arise within us.

Krishna says, surrender will save us from all sorts of sinful reactions. And, Lord Krishna promise to protect us upon his surrender. The only thing we have to add is complete surrender.
One should always think himself the poorest of the poor and feel totally dependent on the mercy of Krishna.
