I want a MythBusters reunion just to test Jack Reacher's airbag trick.
It would definitely work but it would have required the car to be at least in the on position engine running or not (not accessory mode or off).

Wrong. A well placed kick in front of where the airbag switch is can easily trigger it. While cars do have 2.5mph bumpers, there is no standard or threshold for when the airbag must be deployed. Some cars are overly sensitive and the placement of the airbag switch could cause it to be triggered with something like a sledge hammer or in this case a kick. A 250LB man can cause quite a bit of concentrated damage to a vehicle, let alone enough to trigger the airbag switch. @@ramvat9247
it would not work. pretty sure there are sensors that measure acceleration to start airbags and not damage to car. maybe some older models had damage. but still i doubt you could kick strong enough

I hated how he became the new Roscoe/Finlay. Just their errand boy reacher bosses around. The guy is a legit NYPD detective and reacher kept him in the dark and said “here go do this”. Then he dies. He was done wrong

Initially, when they didn't trust him, it was 🆗 by they way they treated him. Then, once after the graveyard shooting, they should have written his role better! He was a pushed around until he they got him killed!

The guy that plays Reacher does a good job. However he is a Hollywood Liberal and a POS in real life . But he does play a good role.

If this one stays as close to the book as Season 1 then it's going to be excellent. I hope this will be extremely popular and they will make many more of the books into these mini series just like what was done to the Hieronymus Bosch stories.

I'd love that. This series has made me re-read my Reacher collection from the bookshelf again. They probably won't be adapting One Shot though, based on the dialogue in season 2
This season is so damn goooood. Reacher is prepared for any situation. The pacing is perfect and great story this season. Haha I found myself laughing at how reacher reacts to different situations. He’s so likable and honest it’s great to see! I’m lovin’ it.

Interesting, I think it's the worst season instead. The plot is very weak, character development is basically absent, fights are not credible, even the level of acting I find it worse.

The only reason Reacher reached the way he did is because he and his former investigation team are being literally hunted so he saw the guy that was observing them naturally as a threat.
That doesn't exactly give you carte blanche to just start attacking anyone sitting in a car watching you.

@sfprivateer I saw what you did. Still the script is based on the character from the books so Richardson is following how the character behaves and on that I'm unquestionably on point both character characterwise and plotwise.

Airbags go off at a 10 m.p.h. for an unbelted driver. When they go off they can give a big impact to the face, and note this guy was leaning forward. Plus the chemical agent released can actually cause minor burns. Reacher knew the sweet spot, and this guy didn't have a chance .

Really enjoying the new characters this season. It’s great show running where you can drop well received characters from season 1 and have season 2 have just as good characters.
3 episodes of season three came out, I tried to spread them out to enjoy them over some time, but binged and watched all three in one sitting. Very well done, some changes from the book, but it’s fine, as the characters held up to the standard set by the books. Moved to New York setting from L.A., but Jack Reacher could be anywhere, right? I say congratulations to Amazon and all the people involved in the production of this series. Keep up the excellent work!

I'm pretty sure that a cop in plain clothes who doesn't identify himself AND reaches for a gun is no different from a civilian (American citizen) who reaches for a gun.

Shot in Toronto, the look of the duplex housing and the street sign were dead giveaways. Toronto stands in for NY a lot for film locations.
Maria St. at Boler St. in The Junction neighborhood. About 3 blocks from my house. Very working class when I was growing up, and not very desirable because it's right next to a huge, noisy rail yard; now those little semi-detached houses go for nearly a million bucks -- for one side, not the whole building. Insane.
So they took a book set in LA, moved the location to New York, and shot it in Canada. :D
Toronto is the biggest single city I've ever been in. I've been in LA before, too. Even though it's a larger urban area, the Los Angeles area is comprised of a multitude of smaller cities besides Los Angeles itself. Toronto is pretty much all Toronto. Never been to NYC.
