Thank you for your amazing work Luke! It’s astounding how much work you put into song lessons and transcribing songs and making it available to the public! I wish you all the success

Love this channel Luke. As someone returning to guitar you are doing all the hard work for me. Especially like how humble you are admitting where you find some parts challenging. Thank you !!

Hey Luke, I love playing songs by Cory Wong and I watched your tutorials on how to play Meditation. The tutorials are great and they were amazing to learn from. You have absolutely nailed the tone you used and I was wondering what effects or amp settings you were using.
Sorry I'm probably a year late but I would really like to know how I can get my Guitar and Amp sounding like that

Thanks Xander 👍 it’s a good question and tbh I’m not exactly sure what I did on this video!! I’m pretty sure by this time Neural DSP had release the Cory Wong plug-in which actually has a meditation preset and I used that. So recording direct into Logic Pro with that plug in. No real amp involved! But for this one you need a good reverb to give that lush spacious sound. Check out the plug in though, lots of other great sounds in there.

Just checked out the full video. Great work! I have a question about the guitar - is that the standard Viking model (I’m looking into getting a Hagstrom as a jazz option) - and how do you find it generally? Any idea what the pickups are?
    Many thanks!

Edward Jons thanks 😎 and yes it is a standard Viking. I love it! Got it a few months ago second hand and installed Iron Gear Blues Engine pickups and also a bone nut to improve the tuning stability. They sound amazing and not just for jazz (which I rarely play). Great for many styles and would highly recommend for the price. Not too far off a 335 I used to own tbh but less than a 1/4 of the price!! Have used it on a few other videos so you can take a look there too if needed.

Luke Bowman Thanks much appreciated. I’m torn between one of these and an Eastman Romeo (which would require apologising to the missus for the next year!).

It’s a tough choice but the Hagstrom a lot cheaper for sure 🤑
