I feel like the reason his so calm and comfortable in the teapot is because it’s a place with very few other people (or only two, I don’t know much about Teapots) and he actually trusts the traveler so it acts like a safe haven.
the bitterness analogy for this state of mind and worldview is so poetic... being handed cups of tea over and over and drinking it over and over to symbolize how he saw the three acts of kindness given in that once cutscene as betrayals, when they were actually just trying to give him kindness in their own ways, it's so beautiful. and he still never said he likes bitter stuff, only that in his mindset, it's better to accept it as it is. he's still locked away that pure side of himself inside, and still uses the jaded facade to hide it. i love the metaphor mihoyo used.
