    After fogging cylinders..... hold throttle wide open and then hit start button. The engine won't start as it turns over to distribute fogging oil. (works on 2018 GTX 155--not sure about other year/models).

    Step 1.5, fill the tank up. Always store your machines with full tanks. Space in the tank can allow moisture to form. In a metal tank, like on a motorcycle, this can cause corrosion. If you have alcohol gas, it will absorb that moisture, stabil or not. Fill the tank up.

      Hmm wrong. That is what stabil is for. Even if the moisture builds up. The stabil will help and you can burn it all out

    Is there a dewinterization process? Or can the ski be set over and fired up like any other ordinary day

    I get my 2015 seadoo GTi SE 155 winterized and dewinterized at a SHOP every year. When they do those 2 jobs, I was told they take my pump off to pressure test pump, apply grease, other things ect... If they didn't put pump back correctly would that mess up the "siphon hoses"? Or put kinks in THEM ? Also would it happen to cause a problem with the "Carbon seal"???? Last winter I dropped it off in perfect condition.. I bought it brand new in May 2016. 74hrs on it as of now... ((It didn't have any problems when I dropped it off at the shop)) I took it out 1st time and it r r⁴had all kinds problems. wouldn't go past 20mph. I replaced spark plugs. 2nd time I took it out, it wouldn't go past 40mph n Also water was filling haul. I explained to shop they told me I messed it up, ran perfect there.. I need some info asap please... on how siphone hoses could get destroyed and Kinked up. And how carbon seal got messed up... I'm preying it's becuz of the pump not being correctly installed... please help me. Thank u.
    Ps. 600$ it cost me for hoses and seal..

    I've watched this over and over. He says to spray engine fogger then turn over the motor. question: Did you remove all the oil first or did you spray the fogger then replace the plugs before cranking? Something isn't adding up to me.

      Thanks for the question. To clarify, I run the antifreeze through first, then change the oil once the machine will no longer actually need to run. After the oil change, pull the spark plugs out and spray the fogging oil into the cylinders. Replace the spark plugs. Put the ski in drown mode so that the engine doesn’t try to start, and turn the engine over for a few seconds to let the fogging oil coat the cylinder walls. After that, the engine doesn’t need to be started or turned over until next season. If the engine is run, it’ll burn the fogging oil off rendering that step useless. Hope this helps

      @@kingbrad89did you change the oil or drain the oil out? (sorry for the questions but i'm literally following your tutorial now)

    • @kingbrad89
      @kingbrad89 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No problem. Change the oil. Never store it without oil, always store it with clean new oil. Moisture and corrosion can form if there’s no oil in the engine, and if the ski is stored for long term with dirty oil, the contaminants in the oil can also cause internal issues. If you’ve already started doing the winterization you can realistically change the oil at any point in the process. Turning the engine over in drown mode will also help to get all the oil out when you’re doing the oil change. When it seems like you’ve sucked out all the oil, turn it over in drown mode for a few seconds and try sucking more out. There will usually be some more that works it way to the bottom after you turn it over. Keep doing that till you can’t get any more oil. Change the filter, fill with new oil, and fog the cylinders

    If used in salt water, be sure to run "Salt Off" through the flush port.

    Hi, I just moved to North Carolina, I lived in Miami and I didn't know that I had to do this to the jetsky, can you give me information on where I can go to get it prepared?

      @greatlakespersonalwatercra7597  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any local dealer or marine repair center should be able to do a winterization for you. Just search boat repair in your area. If you’d rather a dealer do it, If you have a Seadoo, search for the closest seadoo dealer. Yamaha search for the closest yamaha dealer.

    Do you have to flush the antifreeze or are you good to take it right out?

    • @greatlakespersonalwatercra7597
      @greatlakespersonalwatercra7597  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      James Dyer at the start of the next season you’re good to take it right out. Rv/marine antifreeze is environmentally friendly

    WHAT DOES FOGGING OIL DO

    • @greatlakespersonalwatercra7597
      @greatlakespersonalwatercra7597  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Christian Juneau fogging oil coats the inside of the cylinders to prevent any corrosion while the engine is sitting and not running for a long period of time

    I never keep gas in any small engine. Remove all fuel and run engine till all fuel has been burnt. Carbs will always have to be cleaned fuel stabil and non ethanol fuel carbs still will need to be cleaned. No fuel in carbs means no corrosion or break down of fuel in carbs.

      Microshark79 Fuel Injected not carbureted. It’s recommended by the manufacturer to keep the tanks full and run a stabilizer through for storage. It’s better to have gas with stabilizer in the lines than have the lines dry.
