Spoke to a friendly member of the team this morning, ordered myself a pair, not skated in 20 years so these were bought for fitness and also just casual skating... joined a local skate group on fb in Manchester so can't wait to see some nostalgia
I'm 36 and fat. Just started running my old school 90's Majestics from back in the day. Need to lose some upper body weight but things are feeling more natural every time I go out. Just wish my mates hadn't all got old, boring and threw away their skates. Eyeing up some Argon 1.1's on ebay rn!.

I was skating the Razors Cults and then I bought the Joe Atkinson model when it was on sale. I've not skated the Cults in several months because of how good the M12s feel. The Cults are brilliant too though.
Man these are great it's been a long time I'm 35 now . I had the oldschool roces you had to screw in the side pads. 3 screws These look a lot like them. I recommend to use safety gear. I had to stay off for a few weeks... we don't bounce back like we use 2.
Awesome review. I just ordered a pair of them. I used to own a pair of Majestics (i think that's what they were) in the 90's. I always loved my Roces I put hundreds of miles on them things and have fond memories. Now my son is looking to get into skating and that just puts a smile on my face. @@AlmostLakai94 I worry that they will be too narrow for my wide-ish feet, but since I am a UK10 and the shell is a 10-11 I am thinking they might be alright. I really should try measuring my foot length in mm like you say.

@@AlmostLakai94 Yeah I heard they're more of a narrow boot. So would be a bit risky. Might try and find some 2nd hand first or try the budget model. Might have to check reddit as well. Cheers!
Solid review. And agree on the 'slim' fit point. I managed to get my 8.5 feet into 7-8 shell but couldn't in the 7 Aeons (even though some have) I find they fit my feet perfectly. I love the tight snugness, and raised heel - I feel it helps with power transfer and to make my feet feel more precise. Also on the plastics : I believe the Atkinsons are harder then the both the white and the Nils... Then the blacks are the softest. I thought that was interesting. Kinda reminds me of the Salomons back in the day and their use of plastics..
Ahhh man... I was geared to buy the cheaper black version with the higher cuff to replace my valo v13 as I thought maybe the high cuff would give better ankle support as I twisted mine the other day... But now I know the difference in plastic and liners I’m not so keen, seems like it’d cause more problems than it’d solve.
This is creepy. I saw a week ago the black one in the local sports direct (in hungary mind you) and since then I'm wondering about that I should get one. I was wondering where is the loco video about it and here we go. Great one mate especially that you explain the diff vs cheap and pro. Thanks!
Not much outside of a little bit of ankle support. The high cuff version even has a guide line that shows where you can cut it down if you want to have a lower cuff version instead. Its just personal preference at the end of the day though most skates these days have lower cuffs rather than tall ones.
sup man, this has to be one of the best review i seen on roces tough on the luck part. i seem to love these skate i get a trill riding them. I mean 95 to 02 styled. thanks i will be checking on you peace bro.
Yeah these would work fine for some skating around town. They're relatively heavy though, so you may get more tired out compared to a lighter, more modern design.
ahoy ! lookin for a pair of uk size 14 would like to learn after a si joint injury could you find any? i see the citrus ones for preorder look fly but would like to start soon. thanks cool vid best regards joe
Yeah it's a Symetrics frame. I'd actually say the Roces frame works just as well if skating anti-rocker, but the Symetrics gives you a bit more 'cheat room' when riding flat.
I came back to aggressive inline after 13 years:) 5 days in and I am already getting my protections ordered as I am not as crazy as when I was young xD. I realised that after all this time my old Usd might not be good enough, one of the screw today come out from the wheel and I almost killed myself ^^. I couldnt figure out how that happen but for safety I am ordering the beauties from this video just to feel more safe^^ no need anymore to ask parents for a replacement xD
I imagine the raised heel would be good for landing gaps fakie but bad for landing forwards .. Then again surely all skates have raised heels because of the shock absorbers, anyway.
Couple of questions. I'm size 6.5 US mens, what size M12s would work best for me? Also what would you recommend for someone who hasn't skated in 25 years with narrow feet and skinny ankles, Aeon basic 60s or M12s? I know the Aeons have wider soul plates and a generous grinding area on a flat set up, but the M12s seem more narrow fitting, great buckle and seem all round solid. Does one provide more support than the other? I'm having a hard time deciding between the 2. Planning to skate mostly street/city spots, not parks. Cheers
im a mens size 5 and I purchased the M12 LO in a size 4-5 a few weeks ago. i had to return since the liner was too tight but the boot fit. my foot had no room to flex or move my toes and it started to hurt after a few pushes on wood floors. ordering them again in a 6.
@@lustforlow-end6022 they were making a joke about currency. In the US, pounds is used as a measurement of weight rather than a form of currency. 170 - 180 pounds translates to 77kg-81kg
its very easy to say if a boot is skinnier than others, if the average size is 102mm then a skinnier boot would be 100 or 98...... doesnt really have anything to do with people's feet lmao

I hear Razors Genesys are very generous width wise 👍
Are you sure that cheaper m12 have softer plastic? Where did you get that information
?
Weirdly when I had the cheaper black ones they felt a lot stiffer than the new pro ones which seem really flexible in comparison.
remember the white rene hulgren pro model, I sure enjoyed that one
Re the raised heal are they v noticeable? Coming from ice skating experience
Recon you could make a video of modding m12 skates like replacing the cuffs by drilling out rivets?
And also getting rid of the raised heel, loosening the ankle, and lowering the cuff.
@locoskates, where is that skatepark? Looks very cool.
What’s the height of the cuff on these please?
Which ones are the best ones that have no heel raise, shock absorber (or one that can be fully removed), and an ankle that can be loosened well?
Razors
