    Dude, don't change anything. I was a TV producer for a long time - now i do media business development. You can't buy authenticity, and you got it in spades. Your enthusiasm and knowhow are awesome. Slick editing or fx wouldn't add anything. Thanks for the vids dude 👊

      Tom is 100% right. A change in style of presentation / edit stylevcould even be a mistake. And the videos are a good length. Anything shorter could compromise content and it's all content and delivery. Just ram it down and keep going.
      I reckon there are about 5 or 6 good transition skate channels, my favourites are Art of Ram, TR7, Chad Caruso and John Bishop. John Bishop goes at it from a different, more amateur angle and I think it works for older skaters. It's clear the others are professionals. It's the content. All the way. And these 4 channels are all authentic and full of information.
      There is at least one skate channel that has "evolved" over time and as subscription has gone up it has become less good - too much focus on the channel itself, not enough about how to do tricks any more.

    Start on a bank or low on a 1/4. Sage advice for almost any trick. Fundamentals people.
    Also, slick clip to clip editing transition

      Thank you, iMovie is not natural yet but watching tutorials and asking friends for help!
      The start on flat to bank to transition concept. Priceless on the mind and body!

    I think having good resolution and audio quality are the two main things that "improve" a channel. As long as you can be heard clearly and consistently and the video is high res, the rest is all in your personality and the editing style. Just stay authentic - I think that your videos are worth a few repeated watches to really learn a trick, but I appreciate you jamming the video full of information and repeating the really key points to help drill them in. Keep ramming it down!

      Kenny who filmed said maybe its time to get a bluetooth mic. I thought how can I do these videos in one minute but I just don't see how. Also I like hanging with y'all for 8-12 minutes.

    • @japrar
      @japrar 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@trogarmy the mic is a good idea, it'll help cut down on having to project loudly over the background noise. I like the longer format a lot, personally. The editing on this new video was solid, too.

      A mic would be nice, especially when the park is busy but the format of the videos is perfect

    Man your intermediate ramp riding series completely transformed my skating, I was working on each one each week and getting them in before moving onto the next, feeble fakie was so scary for me and your series completely changed that. Thank you for carrying on with it! Can’t wait to try this one!!

    Always a solid break down of technique bro. Appreciate these. I will listen to these when I'm skating park to help me remember the methods. Stay safe . "May your next session be your best" oh shoot wrong channel were not in Canada 🇨🇦 haha 😂 🤙but seriously great transition methods explained here. Really breaks it down and shows the learner that this stuff is with in reach of the average joe. This indoor park looks cozy for the winter months.

    I have an old man version of feeble to fakie, super tweaked after so many year's, after watching this I believe I can do this trick easy.. thanks 🤙 I also can do 50 50 grind to revert....the feeble terrified me until this video, now I will definitely try it.

      Great to hear the video helped. Thank you! If you are getting hung up anywhere or want more info on a certain part of the video, lmk. I want to start doing recap videos. I notice on these one take walk throughs I miss things and want to start going back and elaborating more on some techniques.

    I've been doing 5050 to fakie for ages but I've always used my heel to slide it round! I've watch this, feeble fakie and mayday (pivot fakie, was called a mayday when I was a kid)
    Next session I'm gonna try doing it your way. Hopefully it'll help with maydays as I've been trying them for ages and getting nowhere.
    Great vids keep up the good work 👊

    Asked this question in the other vid...noticed your sliding beautifully out but having a hell of a time trying to even slide my back on concrete.

    • @trogarmy
      @trogarmy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes a discussion that I will tackle this year once the snow melts. Tricks on cement (finished vs. crust) vs wood (birch, hardboard) vs skate surface (ie. skatelite-ramp armor-g skinz)
      What do know is that to obtain that push on concrete you are describing you will need to.
      1) Stay a little more in the back seat. maybe even a narrower stance to do this.
      2) you will really want to MASTER this technique of the shoulders with the coping. I failed in this video after filming that my shoulders were way more cranked then described through the words of this video. You will want to be stable on the board, on the coping, while doing this twist.
      3) start low on all this stuff again mastering the techniques and lifts in the video.
      4) most people try to slide then revert out. I feel that is just a bad habit to break so work on the "dance on the board) what i mean is when you pinch the back heel on the stall. and the shoulders have hit max twist and you are unwinding you do this "snap" movement to the toe (heel to stall, toe to go in) as the front foot rolls and pulls board f/s vertical for re entry. I hope that is somewhat understandable. its like reading a mychart after a dr appointment. what does all this mean... lol.
      Hope that helps a bit more and we can keep this going back an forth. the next trick may help as well coming soon....
