I come from two backgrounds. I’m American and my dad is Egypt. In Egypt, sesame seeds are used to make a paste/butter called tahini. This is then used to make any number of dips and spreads, like hummus (made with chickpeas and a meal on its own) or baba Gannush, with roasted or grilled eggplant. There are even some recipes for using it in cookies and cakes.
I been watching her cooking shows for many longmeimei is absolutely amazing throughout her cooking career with her multi skills in cooking wish her all the very best for many years to come

I find them reall cheap where im at, i have a shaker of sesame and of black sesame seed, but then again, i do have an Asian market near me so i can find all kinds of cool foods (and a chinese grandpa who loves to teach me recipies) You could probably get a bunch of seseme seed online for a decent price, its easy to grow too so if you can find some untoasted seed you can grow some yourself!

I use mine for sprinkles on my home made breads and buns and my home made tahini sauce 😊👍 I'll be purchasing black sesame seeds and try and make black tahini sauce 😊👍
We also plant this plant in our feild and we uses it to make oil and a sweet called ellunda It is simply made bu mixing crushed sesame and jaggary together It's so tasty😊😊💜

In India we make roti and some sweet balls and some times we eat it as a raw for some pains like stomach ace
