The 1.4 petrol fuel consumption is on the low side, but it's still petrol, and it'll depend... In my experience It's been about 5 liters per 100km in summer, driving alone. In general I'd say it's a fun little car to have as your first one, especially if you get the 1.6 engine for that extra power, but even the 1.4 has good acceleration in a city environment. It's cheap to maintain due to low part costs, has a low annual tax and does just fine on the highway if you're not looking to race. As a car for someone who just needs to commute or go places in a work capacity, it's a simple option that works and won't burn holes in your pocket. There are more sporty versions available to boost the fun factor or for those who wanna have fun customizing their first car a little. All in all, it's a small and affordable option that's fun to zoom around in and hasn't failed me yet in the 2 years I've been driving. You miss out on some comfort and luxuries, but given the price that's to be expected, and I got this one for 1000 EUR used so from a practical standpoint I'm happy with it.
