You asked for more track footage, engine noises and b-roll. We present to you less of these things, in the form of a podcast with a difficult to read logo to boot. You're welcome.

We need HPA turbo hoodies! 😁

We are finally looking at doing more merch, what did you have in mind when you say a 'turbo' hoodie? One with a turbo picture on it, some text about turbocharging, or just one that you can put on really fast while making whooshing noises? 🤘 - Taz.

@@hpa101 😂 I’d be all over a hoodie with a simple turbo graphic/outline and the HPA logo on it! I prefer less words and a more simple design, I’d buy one in a heartbeat!

This is an amazing video, totally hands on teaching of the PID functions. Thank you for sharing this, you are top of the game!

nuggets of info gold here - i was about to take a clueless start on my cam timing settings this weekend and then this appears to tell me how it should be tested - nice - thank you :)

this was a good video. i don't own anything with VVT, but this could kind of be used for electronic boost control or something similar am i right?

I just revisited this great video again now that i have a car equipped with a MegaSquirt 2 PnP that has PID control. I've read the MS2 manual on PID tuning and watched other videos on how to tune it.... And it appears i STILL tuned it incorrectly. I thought you were supposed to tune each part of the PID until you get oscillation, then back off until the oscillation stops, starting with the "I". Then the "P", then the "D". I started with "I" to actually hit my target. The the "P" to get to the target quickly, then the "D" if there's any over-shooting. Can it be done this way or am i wrong? Thanks Andre and HPA team 🏆

      P then D then I

@@nesmio7378 yes, i watched the video. I'm explaining to you what the Megasquirt manual says when tuning PID. Clearly there's a conflict here on how to tune the PID.

@@PANTYEATR1 Is there a conflict? How well did your IPD method work out for ya? Now try the proper method.

    • @PANTYEATR1

@@nesmio7378 sure, there is a conflict. HPA says one way and the makers of MS say another. Is there only one way to skin a cat or get to the end result? Nowhere in my original post did i say the tune is bad. I said "it appears i still tuned it incorrectly" meaning i turned the PID the way the MS manual said to. Now the question is, will one way create a better closed loop than the other?

@@PANTYEATR1 I've never ever heard someone IPD tune a PID certainly not for a car. Look up any tutorial or information video or forum post and it's always PDI.
As long as it works it works and is fine.
