This exact recipe isn't on our site so I wrote it out in the description today along with gram info. I did link the print version but it makes the sauce in a bit different way. Both recipes do taste the same though. Thanks for watching and liking our videos!
Ok, I have a question that has to do with ads. I try to be a good subscriber and always watch all the ads. Before your video started there were two ads each a little over 3 1/2 minutes. Then about half way through you're video comes an ad from some California Wellness Center with Amy somebody that is 45 minutes long!!!! I watched one minute and then clicked out. Just before your video ended there were two more ads each on about 1 1/2 minutes which I watched. Do you lose any profit because I bypassed an ad that was longer than your video? I have had this happen many times before and have always wondered but I feel like maybe you will give me an answer to this if you know. Thank you. ✨️
Jim, I love artichokes so this recipe is on my 'to make' list. Thanks. I want to let you know that I loved your stuffed pepper recipe so much that I made it again, 2 days ago.
This looks so good! And your taste tester is like, "I'm your son...I'm gonna give a real opinion...I will not hold back...and I legit love it.", then he eats all of it!! Great relationship you two have! That really makes your videos! Genuine!
What a delicious-looking recipe. I will try it. I like the idea when you forget something (like the lemon slices at the end) it becomes part of your episodes, much like Chef John who lets his mistakes be seen. It makes it relatable to the viewers. I like your son's involvement.
I was born and raised in Rochester NY where this dish is said to have originated. I probably made thousands upon thousands of pieces of chicken French in my days in the restaurant business. We used Sherry and Chablis in our sauce and would egg dip the artichoke hearts too but this looks phenomenal. Great video as always, keep up the good work.
Made this without the artichoke, didn't have any on hand, and was expecting this to taste like lemon chicken... It wasn't too lemony and the egg wash along with the Chardonnay made for an exceptionally tasty dinner. Your recipes are elevating my weekday dinners and for that I thank you.
Wow this one’s a keeper! Chicken Francese is a delicious dish on its own, but the addition of artichoke hearts….who could ask for more? Can’t wait to try it❣️
This looks great and easy and I LOVE the addition of artichoke hearts!! I don’t know why I never think I to make this but now I will! Also, you and your son make me smile so much! What a great duo! My favorite part of your videos is always your interaction with you son. So sweet. 😊
I have probably made this dish 25 times in the past 20 years and I’ve liked it maybe 5 times! It’s my favorite! I’m going to cook it tomorrow night. Made the tomato and butter sauce and lemon garlic shrimp last night. BF and 8 year old LOVED IT!I’m not a fan of cooking but you make it seem so easy and I eat Italian basically everyday. Thank you for the help! 🙏😹😻🍷❤️🍝
If you ask me what I like the most about your videos it would be really hard to answer. I don't know, but I do know that I enjoy them so much that I just keep watching more and more. I've cooked a couple of your recepies and they were delicious. Keep it up man!
If the kid says it's good, I'm all in! Still using your technique for pan cooking chicken breasts, several times each week. Best cooking tip I've learned from TH-cam. THANK YOU!!!
Another great recipe! I think chicken breast is very underrated. It seems like thighs get all the love. BTW, I love the mellow background music. It reminds me of Chuck Mangione. 🎺
Oh my goodness!!! I love all your recipes!! I just found your channel and am working my way thru each recipe! I love your kids and especially your wife, Tara, and you teach each recipe so I can really do it myself, with confidence!! Don’t change anything!! Love this channel!!!
You and your Taster are so great. I see that bond. Love his honesty….and I know he doesn’t give a 10 just to get on your good side! You, your family, and your food are awesome. Keep up the amazing work! 😎💜
Man!! This is my second time I used your recipe, the first one was a shrimp pasta!! This is amazing!!!! I always thought I don’t like cooking and not good at it, but your channel made me change my mind. The best cooking channel here.
OH. MY. GOD!! I made the Sip and Feast trifecta last night and it was AMAZING!!! The chicken Francese was the best chicken dish I’ve ever made. I made it along with your stuffed mushrooms and stuffed artichokes. I’ve made so many of your guys’ recipes so thank you so much!! My cooking game has gone up so much I decided to enroll in culinary school and you guys and your channel were a part of that decision so thank you again!!
Looks really good…I’m anxious to try but I’m almost missing garlic which knowing me, I would add garlic anyway. But, maybe I will add it to the oil as you suggested. Thank you for all your work. I do so enjoy watching easy and serene cooking videos. Lowers the Bp!
Midway through making this I realized I was out of butter. I substituted lard, and for the sauce some heavy cream to get some of the butter's creaminess back. Then I realized I was out of flour and had to thicken it with corn starch. Surprisingly, it turned out edible. When I make it properly I'm sure it will be excellent
Fantastic dish. I wrote down the recipe from the video description. Going to the store later for the ingredients and this will be great for dinner tonight. Please keep the great videos and recipes coming. Much appreciated.
Love this channel!! Everything I have made from your channel has been amazingly full of flavor! I'm a New Yorker living in GA and this brings a bit of NY to me. Keep doing what you do my friend!
I'm a New Yorker (Long Island) living in Henderson, Nevada. Love this recipe. Make it about three times each month. The only change I make is that I eliminate wine and add shaved lemon peel for a more lemony flavor. Love your channel.
Could you talk more about why you add certain ingredients to a dish? I think fleshing out the flavors of a dish at the beginning, and then highlighting what ingredients contribute to that main flavor would help for us home cooks in terms of understanding the versatility of the ingredient
Chicken Francese, probably my ultimate go-to chicken dish. It's incredibly easy, very few ingredients, and it's pure comfort food for me. Butter, wine, lemon, chicken stock....it's pretty hard to go wrong with those ingredients. I mostly eat mine over penne. I've never had mine with artichoke hearts though, not a big artichoke fan but I've worked in enough pizzerias to know a lot of people are lol.
Ten out of ten from our hero! I used to buy a Francese sauce from the grocer... I would sear scallops and chicken. Toss in some shrimp, add some peas...then serve with angel hair. Thanks for making it easy to make.
Thank you so much your recipes are the absolute best I have shared you with friends aswell. My husband and I started keto recently and we miss your pasta recipes. I want to make this do you think I can swap the flour for Almond flour to make this a keto dish I think I will put the chicken over cauliflower rice. Thank again your recipes are amazing
You make this pretty much the way my mom made this and I was looking for a recipe close The only thing is we never used wine wine usually goes with scampi and caper sauce
Looks good. I had a lemon chicken dish one time on a trip to the Jersey shore. And it was one of those small mom and pop places on an off road. And I LOVED it. I have no idea what it was. I later heard of a dish called chicken piccata. But I don’t think that’s what it was. I think this is what it was. Because the piccata I had tried after my first lemon chicken dish had cappers in it. The first one I tried didn’t have cappers. Anyway, thank u. I’m gonna try this.
I just found this channel recently and it has become my fav! The presentation is great and I feel calmly invincible in the kitchen after watching. The boy is adorable, as well. I look forward to his taste and rate at the end. How ‘bout please decrease the volume of the background music a touch? So happy to have found you! Thanks
Thanks! I just did it and came out very good! I didn't know this recipe (I understand it is American?). I messed up a bit with the roux but in the end it came together nicely - also gave me the opportunity to use a rather old artichokes jar from the pantry...
Hi there... have you thought about making the feta and cherry tomatoe pasta bake? I would be interested in seeing you make it, I'm sure your twist on it would be delicious! Thanks!

Feel free to skip the ads. I don't determine which ads/length of ads are shown to you. I do appreciate you asking but don't worry about it.
@@SipandFeast well I thank you for replying to me. ✨️❤️
Can you tell me which camp stove you use?
Jim, I love artichokes so this recipe is on my 'to make' list. Thanks. I want to let you know that I loved your stuffed pepper recipe so much that I made it again, 2 days ago.

I just had this dish at a restaurant yesterday, it's one of my favorites. Of all the kinds of chicken I've seen you make, this may be the best.
Had Chicken Francese growing up a lot and now I do a spin on it with Walleye.
I'm sure it's great with walleye!
My favorite dish! Just wanted to say what a lovely young man you’ve raised!
This is excellent timing - I have artichoke hearts in the pantry that I don't have any plans for! Going to make this recipe this week.
Same thing here, mine have been siitting there for a while.
Perfect dinner for our weather ( transitioning into Fall now) down here in Northern Virginia! Yum.
I made this tonight for my wife and I. We both agreed it was delicious! Thanks!
You are the best teacher!!! And of course James is a rock star.
Made this without the artichoke, didn't have any on hand, and was expecting this to taste like lemon chicken... It wasn't too lemony and the egg wash along with the Chardonnay made for an exceptionally tasty dinner. Your recipes are elevating my weekday dinners and for that I thank you.
I just love watching you cook and sharing your wonderful recipes. Thank you so much.
Wow this one’s a keeper! Chicken Francese is a delicious dish on its own, but the addition of artichoke hearts….who could ask for more? Can’t wait to try it❣️
Capers. That is what I could ask. No problem. My kitchen, my ingredients.
This looks incredible, I love chicken francese! Definitely going to try your recipe! Also, your son is so sweet and very astute ☺️
I appreciate that, thank you!
This looks great and easy and I LOVE the addition of artichoke hearts!! I don’t know why I never think I to make this but now I will!
Also, you and your son make me smile so much! What a great duo! My favorite part of your videos is always your interaction with you son. So sweet. 😊
I love that your son gestures the same way you do. Endearing.
I like the contrast of the very fancy recipe being showcased and the fork in the teflon pan.
Really Amazing recipe!!!!Awesome relationship you have with your son!!!!
Just love you and your son together what a lovely father and son relationship.❤️🇨🇦
Thanks so much.
James cracks me up!!!! I just told my husband how we discussed this dish I could make this for my family they would love it
What a simply elegant recipe. Thank you.
His back to back "MMMMM....MMM "says it all. Great dish. Looks delicious. Thank you for sharing.
haha yes. Thank you!
Howdy Jim!!! Looks sinfully delicious!! You really do for Italian food what Julia did for French food!!! BRAVO!!!
Wow, really appreciate that! Thank you!
@SipandFeast I made this tonight & it turned out delicious...thank you! Cheers!

Another great recipe! I think chicken breast is very underrated. It seems like thighs get all the love. BTW, I love the mellow background music. It reminds me of Chuck Mangione. 🎺
The chicken francese at Bamonte's in Brooklyn is one of the best dishes I've had. Great with veal too!
it is impressive to see the channels growth over this past year. your videos are all very well put together and the food is always looking on point.

Thanks for making it easy to make.
Cracked black pepper is a definite once plated for myself.

Delicious-made it, nice summer dish
One of my favorite dishes ever, been eating this since I was a little kid
You make this pretty much the way my mom made this and I was looking for a recipe close The only thing is we never used wine wine usually goes with scampi and caper sauce
We served this to guests on "card night" and everyone loves it. Simple to make; I just wish there were more leftovers.
YUM! Could it be time for a Top 10 “10” list from James? Maybe a greatest dishes feast episode?!
Great idea, love that. Thank you!

I just found your videos. I’m really enjoying them. They are inspiring Thanks 🇨🇦. GRAZIE
Making this tonight, thanks.
Great looking recipe. Mouth was drooling.
I'm making it tonight, it looks great. A long time ago I had Dolphin Francese in a Florida Restaurant, it was fantastic.
Wow! That looks good! I've never made it! I will now!
Phenomenal, Jim! Another winner! Now I just need to find that squeeze bottle for the olive oil!
Thank you so much! The same squeeze bottles are actually in the shop linked in the description.
Hi. I've watched 4 or 5, and made 2 or 3. I like your work. Keep on keeping on. Cheers
Cooked this tonight, we just finished eating. It was delicious!
Wow I want to order this for dinner awesome Chef see you again cheers
I’m sitting at the Seattle airport thinking you made enough for company. I’ll divert my flight and be there in time for supper

You can cook with clarified butter at much higher heat with no worries of the milk fat burning.
I will definitely try this recipe.👍😋 (BTW, am I the only one who makes sure to watch the end to see what James thinks?)
Thanks! I just did it and came out very good! I didn't know this recipe (I understand it is American?). I messed up a bit with the roux but in the end it came together nicely - also gave me the opportunity to use a rather old artichokes jar from the pantry...
This is a great dish and easy to make. Thanks!
Excellent as always keep it coming thanks from Canada.❤️😊
Thank you!
Is there anything James doesn't like? He seems like me when I was a kid, willing to try anything at least once.
Hi there... have you thought about making the feta and cherry tomatoe pasta bake? I would be interested in seeing you make it, I'm sure your twist on it would be delicious! Thanks!
Ok this looks really good! Sort of reminds me of Greek lemon chicken.
Absolutely love this recipe! It certainly looks like a 10 out of 10!! 😋🤩 I love any dish with lemon! Thank you so much for this amazing video. 💖
Looks delicious! Making it tonight!
Great video as usual!
