Mike isn’t saying it’s not right to defend yourself (he literally says “fights are a part of life , sometimes it has to happen”) in your own home. I dont know who this guy is but he needs to chill. Fights happen, some times in front of kids. I saw my gramps beat the fuck out of some guy on the side of the belt way cuz he was acting wild around me and my cuzins... is it good to fight infront of family...no... but they knew the guy had a gun, shit was getting heated, people felt threatened and acted... My dad told me that fighting is just part of the culture. His dad would get in a fight every week. Even though I’m not great at fighting I’ve been in a few. Never started one though. Was just prepared when deescalation failed.
I hate that though. I just realize that some people are just violent and most are apathetic about violence until it happens to them. I’m prepared for when it happens.
I hate that I have to have a gun, like Redbar said, and people think violence is “cool” and excusable.
I hate that my country has churned out so many people that salivate over the idea of killing. I hate that people can defend a guy like that kid who walked around with a loaded rifle and body armor and killed 2 people for recording him.
