I used the same teleportation trick to completely renovate my farm! Few tips: some of the surfaces need a new base layer (new wood or new air bricks) before the finish coat (glaze or plaster). You don't need to renovate (F2) everything for "home sweet home", just fix (F1) everything at the least. Couple easy things to miss are the foundations and the top of the silo. Hey Daggerwin I didnt need to upgrade materials for that quest just needed to fix all buildings fences and gutters/downpipes (2 sections per downpipe) no idea if my grass trimming had an effect though best of luck :P at least the ashes are where they belong again :)

Daggerwin, i had that same issue, i have fixed all the buildings / fences / gates and etc, and the quest never got completed, THEN i had found a little tiny bit that i have missed, and then the quest completed. I advise you to search every building that is very likely that you have missed to repair something somewhere. Hint: after you find what is missing, go to the checkpoint and the quest will complete. ( I did this 2 times and i can confirm that the quest works and 'hide' repairs to do, so pay attention) Edit: renewing your buildings with new parts does not count towards the quest completion, just to note.
I mowed all the grass around the house inside and out with the trimmer after just repairing everything and the home sweet home quest completed with the 20 thousand points.

You have to fix the barns wood ,bricks, and stain and paint the chicken cupe with wood also the gazebo and the fence needs stained and the silo need all New metal and the barn doors and the house needs painting and the roofing needs shingles but the dog house don't need it yet unless they updated that the barns need a lot of lacker inside and out. Also bricks all around

You need to buy building material down the rd and you can renovate the interior of the house it isn’t marked on the map
