Ramona, If your cutting blade is skipping, there are two possibilities: you need a new blade or a new cutting mat. Your cutting mat can get damaged after lots of use. Deep grooves in your mat can keep your blade from cutting properly and actually ruin any new blade you put in your cutter. If your mat is in good shape, it is prabably your blade.
