Nuclear power is very clean and would solve Nigeria's energy troubles
The most important part is to know how to do it & maintain it for ourselves. This would solve the main energy problem of Africa in whole.
With the current crop of nigerian leaders, coupled with their penchant for mismanagement, this is just studio talk. Hard to see it making the light
The IAEA is welcome to give their opinion, but we don't have to get them to teach us or show us how to run it. Africa has it's own Energy commission. It would be much cheaper if we learn how to design, build and maintain it ourselves in the long run. Even our university students can run this, if they are provided adequate support.
The only thing that get me nervous here is our nonchalant attitude toward infrastructure....hence nuclear waste and disposal.
With corruption in Nigeria and her leadership style scares me
We should be going for renewable energy, not nuclear energy. Or whichever one is easier to get right now… since we might not really have a choice in the matter anyway.
But yeah, renewable energy should be the ultimate goal for now. Maybe we could upgrade later. (Well, not ultimate. But just a main goal)
Nigeria can not manage nuclear power station
I am a Nigerian and I am against nuclear power station in Nigeria
Nucleae power is not good for africa
Says someone who is not a Nigerian
