Underrated recommendation but necessary! I can barely bowl league without 2/3 bottles of water before & during

Thank you!! Yes, it is definitely necessary! Especially for those of us who do a lot of things outside of bowling as well, especially activities that can be dehydrating. Once bowling, one can definitely feel the lack of water from throughout the day, so I always have water when bowling. Keep up the great work on drinking plenty of water while bowling! Thank you so much for commenting!!

This may all seem very basic and simple to most folks, but there's a lot of folks out there that know nothing of or about this.
It's not just about keeping yourself hydrated, it also has a lot to do with keeping your electrolytes up and balanced. Low electrolyte levels lead to cramping. Just plain water doesn't always do the trick and you'll need something more to help boost those electrolyte levels up quicker depending on the temp and humidity levels where you're at.
Eating several bananas prior to any strenuous activities and having some on hand to eat during is highly recommended. If bananas aren't your cup of tea, then there are several sports drinks that are designed to keep you hydrated and help build your electrolyte levels before, during and after. Just remember to check the sugar that is contained in these drinks some of them are let's just say are bad and will do more harm than good.

I 100% agree!! A lot of folks think bowling in an air conditioned building won’t lead to dehydration or lack of essential nutrients in the body while performing in the sport. Just as many other activities, bowling takes a lot of energy, water, and crucial nutrients from the body. Water is definitely on the top of the list, but as you stated, electrolytes as well as other vital nutrients, vitamins, and minerals are needed throughout the entirety of bowling. I agree some sugary drinks are worse to have on hand than others. I prefer to use mainly water but also Powerade Zero as I really enjoy the flavor without taking on tons of unnecessary sugars or calories. That way I can provide my body with electrolytes, nutrients, and minerals without sacrificing performance due to a sugar overload. Granted I do eat heavily before bowling, I give sugary meals time for the initial sugar surge to gently pass by without affecting bowling, but still have plenty of food giving my body what it needs throughout the day for bowling. I don’t go the banana route for bowling but I know some folks who use it to great success so I would never discourage anyone from giving it a fair chance to see if it works for them. I believe the banana route is a great route for some folks and many should take full advantage of it. Thank you so much for your comment, I really appreciate it!

what are you using for a ball spinner?

Great question! It is the least expensive bowling ball spinner offered on BowlerX’s website. It is the 1/3 horsepower spinner. Though it is not as powerful as the more expensive one, this ball spinner works well for me right now and was not as hard on the wallet compared to other ball spinners. As for a brand name or model, I cannot recall at the moment but I remember it was the 1/3 horsepower model. I hope this helps! Thank you so much for commenting!!
