Thank you for being here to tell us what vacations are all about. I don't know how I've been going on vacations all this time without this essential nugget of wisdom.
I never thought Virgin Voyages would be for me--60s, somewhat conservative. But it was GREAT! Some of the entertainment was not to my liking, while other shows could have appeared on Disney. The food was amazing, and I didn't realize how wonderful "adults only" was until we did it. No kids running the halls, pressing all the elevator buttons, trashing the beverage stations, etc.
I am 63 (Well, in 2 months and a week), and my wife will be 55 in July..... I was intrigued by Virgin, but some of the "entertainment" is definitely not for us. I was liking what I saw, overall, but the clubs, or shows, kind of turned me off a bit. Still not completely against, but less inclined to sail Virgin than I was initially. I understand the no kids thing being attractive, but I have to say, on the Disney cruise we took, I don't recall it being an issue.... Well, we're deciding between Disney, Royal Caribbean, Virgin, and possibly Norwegian.... But we have a few months yet to decide.
@@yikesvikes Have fun. DCL used to be our favorite, but no we are all adults now and honestly dealing with ill behaved kids (it isn't that many, but enough) and the really higher prices of Disney now made us look around. Try Celebrity too--we did like them a lot.
That is good to know. I've been curious about Virgin because all the ships are being built where we live (there is one more being built right now). It seemed a bit too young a hip for my husband and I (50 and 40, respectively), but maybe we will try it out one day.
I love being on a ship that has low numbers of people sailing but is designed to hold the masses. We were on a cruise that was about 40% capacity out of 3000 people and it was eerily quiet and amazing at the same time. The crew was definitely more relaxed at the diminished workload
This vlog is a better ad for Virgin Voyages than their own ad. 👍We are going to book Virgin now over Royal. Great vlog, looks like a very relaxing cruise.

Other than price, I would tend to differ. I don't know if you've actually done a Disney cruise, but they're really good. We're considering Virgin for something different, but so far, I think Disney still wins out..... Other than price (But, in general, you get what you pay for.)
I agree. Disney is extremely overrated. The food is trash and the character experience is a joke. I think most people only like Disney because other people say they like it People are afraid to be different than the mainstream. I'd take Virgin over Disney 100 out of 100 times

My favorite restaurant is Extra Virgin, I always get so stuffed lol. And something else u love is the hammocks in the balcony rooms. I always take a nice nap there in the afternoons. I'd take this over a Disney cruise any day - and I'm guessing it was significantly cheaper too!
