  • A lot of people have mixed feelings about bridge used on the Eart headless. I have gotten a lot of requests to make a video on how to setup and adjust the bridge. In this video I go over my process of the bridge adjustment and how I get good tuning stability and try to explain it so its less intimidating for everyone.

    Also I just ordered a GW2. Thanks for the informative video. It has eased my anxiety about this bridge aspect-mostly I got the Eart to use as a travel guitar since I have plently of others , about a dozen of mine are project guitars or built from kits with my upgrades. Cheers : )

    Thank you so much for this video! I just got an Eart GW2 and all of the strings I was able to get consistently tuned except the 6 string... I started having upset feelings and considering taking it into a shop but then I googled and found your video. I noticed that based on the set up the string height on the 6th string was wayyyy too low, so I adjusted it to be much higher and boom. Now it stays in tune like the rest of the strings! I just ordered a MusicNomad MN602 as well so I can better learn how to measure. Thanks so much for this vid

    This is a HUGE help - and I’m going to share your video! This same bridge is on the Zivix Jamstik Studio (which is an ALP Leaf 100 with minor mods and Zivix’s MIDI electronics). It seems like a lot of headless guitars brands are installing this very same bridge. It really is a great bridge for tuning stability, but nobody seems to offer solid, clear instructions - not the guitar brands using them, nor KD. I don’t even see a KD manufacturer website besides for some of their products being sold on Amazon (which I found out from another TH-camr who purchased a similar variant of this bridge to install on a guitar about a month ago).
    Anyway, I figured this all out the hard way. I was about ready to tear my hair out, but I didn’t give up. I wish I had seen this video before I attempted a string change - two strings (g and high e) were choking out and very tight after putting on D’addario XT 9-42, the high e brass saddle was wiggling around on on, plus my low E needed an intonation adjustment. So I bravely got my tools and just tried stuff until I hit gold lol.
    It’s worth adding that the intonation won’t be right if the brass saddles aren’t raised all the way up. That’s gonna make the break angle just right along with loading the string ms. I couldn’t move my saddles any more, so I toyed with the string height - voila, pitch perfect intonation!
    The JamStik Studio pickups also seem to be from the same manufacturer. They are marked KD with a picture of a Diamond just below the letters. Do you know anything about KD and where they’re located? I was trying to get more info because I’m a nerd like that, but I couldn’t find any. They’re actually pretty good pickups!
    Anyway, gonna go pass your video along to the Jamstik FB group and that guy I mentioned above who purchased the bridge on Amazon. Thanks SO much!

    Thanks for doing this it's a huge help, the angle of the camera is great. I do appreciate thorough explanations, much better than insufficient, however if I have one critique it would be that you talked a LOT for example you said let's get to it but you had already talked for 3 minutes! I know you wanted to get some things in but just keep it tight! Also you explained a couple things twice as if you weren't sure we got it the first time. Once again this was very helpful I hope you don't mind my suggestions.

    Thanks for this instructional video. This solved a stuck G string saddle I had. I agree that some people are bashing on EART and the bridge, but not realizing how to properly set it up. Once that is done, it's very good. Hopefully EART at least put some documentation in with the guitar or on their website so people can find the info.

      the parts are not the best quality and if the strings are plain and like maybe below .014 i wouldn’t cut them right away i just wasted two strings before I had the daddario 14-68 without a problem but I wouldn’t keep changing the intonation

    Changed the strings on mine today as I had serious intonation problems on frets 12+ (that I haven't noticed since I wasn't really soloing) and noticed the following:
    1) Intonation was good up to the 12th fret
    2) Frets 13 to 24 were off the more you'd go up the fretboard (so 24th fret was like -20 cents off)
    I'm not a pro when it comes to setting up an instrument but couldn't really find any relevant answer on the internet so what I did was I kept decreasing string length, even if the intonation on the 12th fret was spot on, until I got an acceptable intonation on the 24th (which is like +- 5 cents).
    Writing this comment in case there's a poor soul who got tormented like me over shitty intonation without having an answer on the internet.

      There is another video where I saw a guitar from China that had this same bridge. The bridge had been fitted to far back so the guitar could not be properly intonated. I read at least one commenter that said they had the same issue. The solution was to remove the bridge and fill the holes then drill new hole a bit further towards the neck. Good luck.

    at the top of wheel is more stable than the bottom because roller must roll more easier during bends for returning string in previos position

    • @Reginaldesq
      @Reginaldesq 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      1) The roller probably isnt going to roll. The amount of string from the saddle to tuning wheel is so small any stretch at that point will be close to zero. 2) The downward pressure of the string will most likely stop any roller from rolling anyway. 3) Whilst its probably true that enough break angle is enough break angle and extra does nothing, less than 5 degrees can cause buzzing one the saddle because the string can vibrate side to side.

      If there is not enough break angle, strings can sometimes buzz by moving side to side on the saddle. Less than 5 degrees can be an issue. If your strings are coming from the bottom of the tuning wheels as shown in the video then that wont be the issue and it could be a lose component in the bridge itself.

      Take tension off the saddle by loosening your string then try manually pushing it down if that doesn’t work maybe pull the saddle off and see if its seized or something

    Does anyone know how to raise the neck pickup / humbucker
    When i turn clockwise it lowers when i turn counterclock it just loosens the screw :( HELP

    • @SIX1NINEGUITARSANDGEAR
      @SIX1NINEGUITARSANDGEAR  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Pull it out make sure the pickup isnt to tight in the pickup routing. Make sure theres foam under the pickup if there is make sure its thick enough to push back agianst the screws. If your talking sbout this exact model guitar from this video there will be foam under the pickup check those 2 things and let me know how you make out
