That layout is so "home" to me - I live in a Soviet German "Plattenbau" 1-room flat. My bed is only ONE METER away from my stove!! I build my doll rooms in shoe boxes just because that's all I have space for in here! Our dear Herr Honecker didn't expect B A R B I E 😁
Wow how interesting, thanks for sharing! I always found it very interesting the soviet era apartments, that despite being built so quickly many have been able to withstand time until now to be continued to be used. However, because of the quick building and wanting to make many rooms, it caused some faults such as such layouts and tight spaces 😅
@@spacemono5419 the key to maintaining them has been to maintaining the public infrastructure around them. This kind of concrete box living was designed for neighborhoods that have parks, playgrounds, and opportunities outside the teenie flats. When you go against that design it's both psychologically hard on the residents, and also physically hard on the building. They're meant to be used in a certain way and maintained on a schedule. The ones who have been repurposed are crumbling but the ones, like mine, that still have their inner courtyard and neighbors that care about our surroundings are going strong!
I really want to do this at some point... have a barbie doll apartment on a bookcase that's out all the time. Love that you gave yourself a color challenge Toya! So fun! ❤
Make a showerhead that attaches to the wall with a magnet and hide it inside the toilet. Add a magnet to the wall behind the mirror and whenever you want to make the space into a shower, retrieve the head and pop it onto the wall. The room looks great!
We loved this video!!! *jaw drop* every time you pulled out one of those custom-made wallpapers😱💕 The space came together so well with the furniture/walls/structure! When you *finished|* we thought it was INCREDIBLE! Then you changed the orange sofa for the blue which looked really nice, but then for the smaller pink and a shelf at the end which was ✨PERFECTION✨ Loved it!
O This is a charming room. I don't usually buy new Barbie furniture but picked up different pieces of Barbie furniture in thrift shops. They're usually a bit battered and missing doors or background cards. I apply a little creativity and paint to refresh them. I'm not much of a pink person so I tend to use more realistic colors, especially in the kitchen. I do love the wallpaper you created.
Could you make an updated video of some DIY camping gear for Barbie dolls? Also hiking gear would also be a fun craft! Like those big hiking backpacks! Love your videos!!!🐸❤❤❤
Such creative ideas with the colorful Barbie furniture and accessories. I love it! Your videos are great! I wish Barbie/Mattel would start making all of their dolls made to move and putting out more realistic looking sets
This is too cute!!! It reminds me of Japanese apartments. I watched so many Japanese apartment tours when making my Japanese dollhouse lol, it's all about utilizing tiny amounts of space. I think you nailed it! And the soft pillows are coincidentally perfect matches!
I love Barbie furniture ❤ !! I usually find great used Vintage Barbie items at thrift stores !! I found a classroom set for 3 dollars last week! Great video! Love allbyour ideas 💡 Thanks for sharing 👍
I miss the older playsets. From the 90s and early 00s. I remember I use to collect those heavily as a kid. I even used the Fisher price furniture for my barbies...
@@radiofreejoanie I actually have the complete "dream furniture" set and I know Sweet Rose sofa bed, still both are from the 80s. It's 40 to 30 years ago! We need new and modern ones. On style! The best I saw was a sofa turning into... bunk beds! And it's not barbie size but skipper. 😞
Can you teach us to create the 1960’s Vintage Barbie dream house? I think the original was made of cardboard and the furniture was made of cardboard as well.
Hello, thank you for the video! I love that flower wallpaper, and the lemon wallpaper is very pretty too! I love the colors that you used. I do agree, I wish the furniture pieces had a more realistic color to them so they could all go together better. But I'm sure they did that so they are more eye catching to children. I'm not a doll or even a miniature collector, but I love seeing your miniatures and crafts. Keep up the good work, and have a great day!
yay foamboard is back im so excited love this froggystuff i also love the way everything worked so well together also ive been your biggest fan since late 2019 hope your having a fabsome day happy easter 😍😍😍
I am an adult doll "collector". Wow, that looked like so much fun. I am going to try that.. i never thought off doing that. I've always viewed Barbies furniture and decor as a bit tacky until this video. Im going to try it again Toya's way this time. That was and looked so amazing and fun. I will be playing with mine all day, including rearranging furniture. This hobby is fantastic...it helped me to arrange the furniture in my apartment including a bunch of othe stuff, including our clothing style by the clothes we pick our dolls.
I was looking at 1995 Barbie play sets earlier where they had made a bank, laundrymat, post office, etc. I would love it if you could recreate some of those scenes. I also love the Barbie house that is from 1979 and the Sears Barbie and Skipper deluxe Dreamhouse in a carrying case from 1965 if you could recreate those.
This is such a lovely room/apartment and it's amazing how much you got in such a small space. One of these days I really must build rooms for my dolls to live in - they must be sick of being piled into large plastic bins.
I used to watch you YEARS ago when I was in middle school, as an adult you made me feel better about still liking dolls as a preteen🫶🏽nice to know years later you’re still making videos!
So gorgeous! You could imply a shower by hanging a shower curtain across the back wall of the bathroom box on a rod just a tiny bit away from the wall.
The bathroom could be like those in Asian countries like Korea where the shower head is on the wall above the toliet because the enitre toom is the shower, so everything else (sink, toliet) ends up getting wet.
I used to watch and remake your old tutorials when I was 9 which finnaly allowed me to have my own barbie doll house. That was 11 years ago!! Im going to be 21 this year, and although I’ve stopped playing with dolls, a sense of nostalgia overcomes me and makes me check out your chanell. Super excited to have children of my own one day, so I can make barbie houses with them ❤️
This came in such good time Toya!!! I've been working on my first foam room, a Bathroom 🤣 and I'm using Barbie furniture, combined with some crafts, I have to give you credit for inspiring me and opening a whole new creative world. I love the new craft and the wallpaper will be taking notes and will definitely be printing some for my own rooms I'm planing to build. Thanks again fabsome bestie and fairy crafter.
I know I'm in the minority with this, but I love the overabundance of colors in Barbie furniture. I want a purple fridge and teal bathtub! I want my house to look vibrant and happy and fun! I lived in boring houses with white walls and plain furniture all my childhood, but now, it's a rainbow plaid couch and galaxy curtains and stained glass butterfly lamps and rose brocade chairs. Maximalism for life!
In my house the rooms are painted all sorts of colors- sage green, sky blue, pepto bismol pink, sunny yellow, turquoise, purple. No boring neutrals here!
I always wondered what you were going to do with your Barbie playsets. This makes perfect sense! Love how you coordinated the colors and made everything come together. Another awesome video! Thanks for sharing!❤❤❤
I am using some of the 5 surprise capsules as Easter eggs this year 😅 a few bunny stickers on the outside and fun goodies in the inside and BOOM! Happy hunting 😊 I hope this helps someone else 🫶🏽
I love your doll rooms made out of foam board! Loving the layout and furniture placement you have made 'cause you're good at it. Properly takes hours and sketching on that (for me). I also noticed the toilet in most of your doll bathroom are factory-made (either from Barbie or fun finds), but I may not find them in my city. Can you make a video for a DIY toilet?
Wow this is so cool! I really like how u always arrange rooms for dolls! And so lucky u found a barbie bed u like, I'm still looking for one but actually there isn't any bedroom play set I really like.

This makes my birthday even more exciting. I squealed when I saw the notification.
Great apartment! The Japanese have similar small bathrooms. They just have a hand spray in the bathroom and the entire room is tiled.
Yes! I was going to suggest she add a sprayer on the wall and maybe a drain on the floor, since the whole room is tiled it can be a wet room. 😊
Yup, just saying the same thing about Europe and North Africa.

I love love love your creativity!!! Thanks for the free printables.
I literally lol’d “get used to tiny living when you live on a shelf”.

I think everyone would pay the additional cost. I hate having to buy and then behead dolls to move them onto made to move bodies.
The layout and color scheme of this small space is immaculate!

Toya, random comment/suggestion: Dollar Tree is selling really nice quality dolls. Would you mind reviewing them?
