    straw sets can be done on relaxed, natural or transitioning hair. its actually good because it can help blend the 2 textures

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    not always. i rotate and use different products at different times

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    im glad u like the video! im sure there are many styles you can do on your hair too :)

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    comparable to rod sets. straw sets are generally smaller and produce a tighter curl that for some ppl last a bit longer

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    moisturize your hair daily and put an oil on top to help lock in moisture. you can use whatever moisturizer works for your hair. u may have to test a few out to see which work best for u

    @thechicnatural  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    no biggie, i can still see spam comments, but its comparable to rod sets. straw sets are generally smaller and produce a tighter curl that for some ppl last a bit longer

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    no, and i will hopefully do a product/regimen vid soon :)

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    yes, you can use it sparingly and it would probably work the same. but i like to use a good amount, personally

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    i just put on a bonnet and fluffed in the morn, but you can also do the pineapple method and shake out

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    i just started using them and to preserve do the pineapple method or jus cover with a bonnet and shake and go

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    the butter cream is thick and creamy. kind of like greek yogurt. the creme jelle styler is not as thick and is like a creamy thin soft hold gel

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    thanks! any product that will give your hair good hold, pretty much

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    no prob! i actually found that putting the bobby pins in perpendicular to the straws holds it better

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    i put the timeframe in the description box :)

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    install about 1.5 hrs. take down about 15min. separate another 20min. should last abt a wk or so

  • @thechicnatural
    @thechicnatural  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    it could def last up to a week, i'd say. try pineapple method or re-roll large sections to preserve

    I've always loved you, but now I love you even more now that I have noticed we have the same type of hair texture! I'm new to the natural hair community and I've been getting frustrated because I thought I couldn't achieve styles like this. I've been rocking sew ins for 2 years, and my hair has grown so much! I recently took one of my styles out and I got so irritated how untamable my hair was, I wanted to just throw a perm on it (2 years of transitioning would've gone down the drain) yet I just took a deep breath and started doing my research, you have gave me a sense of security. Thank you girl! Love ya.

    i just tried this style, it didn't turn out quite as nice as yours...it wasn't really as wringlet looking, but it turned out...not too bad...better than i thought. your curls look perfect is there a special way to roll them so they look like that?
