Hello Danielle, We are all in limbo as we are only guests here in this world for a short time. Why do you actually want to leave your (upper-class bubble) el salvadorian dream world for moving to your 0/8/15 home city in the US ? Especially during the winter, at -10°C or worse, even a poorer neighbourhood in El Salvador is more hospitable despite a possible curfew in the evening due to gang activity, than a standard neighbourhood in the north. I´m from Austria, Europe and these are (hopefully) my last weeks here. I´m leaving due to a formation in Eastern Europe, which is off limits to me here. I plan to go to Germany, not to Austria, to pay back my student loans and do my practise year too. As soon as possible, I want to go to Colombia and stay there till my time here on earth is over.
Culture shock sometimes is difficult, I got a good lesson recently where accept yourself and be aware of your feelings is the key, (me trying to connect with a bunch or gringos) warm regards 🤗

My suggestion is live now in whatever situation you are in. Don't look for the future just let it get there when it gets there. I think it sounds like in the future your permanent residence will be the U.S but for the time being just enjoy living in El Salvador. Just a thought and not trying to sound like I know your life or situation. All will work out in time. Good luck and hang in there. Best of luck to you and husband.
Those cartons are fine out of the fridge while they are sealed. Once you open them, you must refrigerate them. I think the idea behind the design is that families would open a carton and finish it on the same meal.
Why not just call both places home? It’s not like you’re moving to Mars hahaha. Jokes aside many Salvis do that, you just have to find the homes that you want. As far as friendships they never go away if you keep them. Job wise may be the more difficult if you are not trying to be a TH-camr full time, but with today’s technology and people’s savyness I’m sure you’ll find a happy medium. Have you thought of collaborating with other Salvi TH-camrs like el gordo de soyacity, Callejas sv and the likes?

@@DanielleAyala I already have a full time job here in the states but something I’m looking into doing on the side is to sell products in Amazon and have the manufactured in El Salvador because of labor costs which would give me an excuse to visit el Salvador more often haha the program is called Amazon FBA and there are a lot opportunities and styles to do e-commerce. First of all - cute training baby (yeah, I said it-you guys started an invisible clock). I am so sorry that things are getting more complicated "adulting" definitely does that. I understand a bit of this bc my Salvadoran husband and I (plus our three little babies) are kind of experiencing the opposite version of this. But you are totally correct-live in the moment and invest your time in family time and if you have any money dream big and make investments for your future so you will have the flexibility to go back and forth-that's our plan. Love your pug, but it sux though that there are so many homeless dogs on the streets. That's one thing I detest about my people, many of them not only disregard street animals, but they hate them like wtf!
I love the chuchos here! I just don't know of any animal shelters like we have in the US. I'm sure there are some, but I haven't heard of them. It can also be hard to tell which street dogs have families nearby and which don't sometimes.

I am researching the cost of living in El salvador vs the USA. Let's take an average house price in my area of $600,000 now if we add Property taxes, hazard insurance, maintenance, etc..etc.. a high paying job is definitely required. During the winter months; I hate the dangerous slippery roads. I love her videos and how she expresses her feelings.
Don't worry Danielle, just enjoy every day you live in El Salvador , after when you get back to USA, you will miss my country. The easy thing is you can come back whatever you want. USA is not far from El Salvador just a few hours by plane, but if you live in Europe or Australia is difficult to visit the places you miss most. Be happy girl and embrace your life in El Salvador. I have an opinion about the milk, here in Canada and the United States there are two types of milk, just as in El Salvador, the one that needs refrigeration and the other. Walmart and Costco sell them not only in El Salvador
You are unequivocally correct. It could be a bit frustrating being in your shoes. I hope you and yours do well in your future. As for the milk and eggs? The milk is probably manufactured or produced with a preservative or two, just like some milk is sold on the dry shelf in the US, Europe and elsewhere: it's "safe," unless one thinks preservatives are not. The eggs are also coated with oil that preserves them for a long time, just as they are also sold in many parts of the US and across the world.

hey Danielle I can relate a bit. I was in the Marines for 20 years moving every two to three years. I married my wife 13 years ago, before I got married I never liked to buy long term stuff and only kept very close friends. Once married we have bought some house stuff that we have taken with us every time we moved but in the end we don't like buying huge items. We love to travel so we like moving around, we want to move to Japan and maybe Europe. Many people tell us to just stay in one place but we just can't we have to travel. Once your situation settles this experience will just be a good memory, enjoy it as much as you can. Take care

hey Danielle I can relate a bit. I was in the Marines for 20 years moving every two to three years. I married my wife 13 years ago, before I got married I never liked to buy long term stuff and only kept very close friends. Once married we have bought some house stuff that we have taken with us every time we moved but in the end we don't like buying huge items. We love to travel so we like moving around, we want to move to Japan and maybe Europe. Many people tell us to just stay in one place but we just can't we have to travel. Once your situation settles this experience will just be a good memory, enjoy it as much as you can. Take care

Funny how sometimes what you're going through relates to others. I'm even questioning if I just want to move there and Costa Rica instead of bringing my fiance to the rat race in America. From traveling so much around the world, I do feel that in situations like yours, you can only live one day at a time. Pura Vida. Keep up the great content. Also if you don't mind me asking, how long have you've been waiting for the process after getting married.
I have the same questions! My husband and I are hoping to work online and spend our time between both countries. Life in the states can definitely feel like a rat race! I visited Costa Rica a while back, and if you have the option to live there, I'd definitely take it! It's been about two years. COVID delayed everything. Good luck to you both!
