I recently learned the KC-135 is not based on a 707. It is based on a -80 (dash 80), which is considerably different.

Those 50+ year old KC-135s have seen third generation aircrews and are readying for their fourth.
If you were there last week the sniffer wc 135w was in, doing runs up round the top of norway. Checking for radiation after a soviet sub had a fire that was in that white grey colour scheme
That's not a WC-135! All WC airframe were converted back in the Mid 90's

07:05, shouldn't there be a bigger gap left between different planes taking off? especially ones of this size. I thought turbulence would be an issue?
Been to Mildenhall many times through the 80's and late 90's in my USAF time.. Like many USAF Transient bases, most acft in the inventory will come through. The British loved watching from outside the perimeter the comings and goings. I share that love to this day.

I think it's time raf fairford was cancelled ,and put raf mildenhall airshow back on , fairford gone down hill over last 15 years ,wheres the days of a c5 galaxy b52 b1b b2 stealth bomber and many others ,them days have gone and never will come back and im sure theres many that will agree ,83 to 2000 at mildenhall 👍🏻

The C17 in Kabul on the airport surrounded by people as it supposedly moved along the runway under its engine thrust was a rubber decoy plane.
The windows looked especially ridiculous, black painted squares.
