Good afternoon guys ya that was not lekker when u loss a lot of line😂. Now u must put braid for backing and top up with line . I put 350 m of braid and about 300m of nylon. It was a great video keep it up and hope to see you land a bronzey.👍💯🎣 Tight lines.
Great videos guys enjoy your content- but have to agree with person above this was not necessary . With all info around that was unfortunately poor tackle choice and planning as you said you knew you were under gunned. Should never have put the fish in that situation knowing the end result would be what it was.... proper education is needed when you run online platforms like TH-cam
Not good for our sport! Why spend the time fishing for something when you know before you start that your under gunned. You should have better judgement than to post a video showing a lack of care about how to do this the right way. If you don't know how, look at Zoo Look Fishing TH-cam for how to properly target them!
Hi there, Jason. I do agree with your comment. Unfortunately, I can't pick the fish that takes my bait. Many anglers were also stripped that day that was not under gunned with thousands and thousands of R worth of gear. The best on the market with 1000m of line. That shark was a beast that picked up my bait. But I am also not happy with the line that went into the ocean, and we as spearos see this every time we put our heads in the water. I will tell you this i will not go shark fishing without backing again.
Never target these fish under gunned always use heavy tackle and a proper reel with a proper drag system so that you can turn the fish as quick as possible and have the pulling power of your rod do the work otherwise it will be a long exhausting fight for both you and the fish.
Enjoy the content, but have to agree with the other guys. Why even attempt it if ypu knew you were undergunned? Not fair to the shark at all!! As a content creator and person with "influence" you should have known better.
Okay so I’ve read all the comments and I would just like to add my thought as well respectfully. Yes he was under gunned, but not completely, many many fish/sharks has been landed on the lightest of tackle, most anglers try and land big fish and sharks on light tackle just because that’s one great adrenaline rush and it would be awesome to land a huge fish on light tackle, now I’m not defending anyone, I just think it’s pretty unfair and crappy to make such comments if there are literally tons of anglers losing big sharks and fish on heavy and light tackle, we are divers, I can tell you a book of stories on lines,braid,sinkers,hooks and steel traces with sharks still attached to it, don’t bash one guy, bash the entire fishing community if you want to bash, this is unfortunately on a video and what you don’t see on video is not attacked or spoken about, please think before making a comment, lastly you can never tell what you gonna hook that day you go fishing, if you do, then you must be from the gods, if any monster shark decides to pick your bait up, then the most common setup for heavy shark fishing won’t be enough to stop it, adding the main line gets bitten off by other sharks swimming in the area, FYI a very common thing that happens when fishing for Bronzies.
So.... seeing from the previous video they were targeting bronzies, and this video was only targeting bronzies, and the fact that he said he knew he was under gunned. You only think small sharks will eat your bait?

Love your videos but this video, extremely poor guys, poor shark is now swimming with 300m mono, plus steel trace in his mouth.
