It was proven a long time ago by scientists that using a shower wastes more water than using pail/tabo. There's actually a regulation in another country that limits a manufacturer from producing a showerhead that outputs high volume of water per minute. Please stop this misinformation.

With a tabo, you can see how much water is left for you to use in the planggana or balde, so you're mindful about it, and more focused on the task at hand. Mao na we think dili siya kalas because we are able to "gauge", more or less, how much we're using. Whereas, when showering, the water is stored away at a tank within the lot but not inside the bathroom area. So og mag muni2 or concert2 ka sulod sa shower, ehhhhh, you'd still end up wasting water. It should be a controlled environment. Slater should literally take a bath with big container underneath to measure actual volume of water using shower and tabo. A lot of factors to consider; water pressure, time spent bathing, method of bathing, type of soap, etc. As per other studies in UP, using tabo consumes less water vs. shower.

Tabo technique may help you save by limiting the number of tubs you use when you bathe but not very efficient because like Slater said probably half of the water you splash yourself with using tabo goes away from your body. I’d say it’s wasteful. With shower, you can direct it towards which part of your body you want to wash, e.g. arms, legs, etc.

If in the perspective that you use a planggana and the water is continuously pouring, time and motion analysis, planggana is still more efficient than of using shower. People in the country often use it because its more cheaper, try to fill in a tub with continuosly pouring shower by the time of how usually done in the shower, and take a bath using only planggana and tabo, and you will see that traditional way of bathing is more efficient.

When I was still in elementary school sinasabi ng mga teacher na mas matipid pag gumamit ng tabo but ever since I'm always saying na mas matipid pag shower spray ang ginamit. Lalo na kung nakasahod pa sa planggana habang naliligo. Then kalahating tabo ng tubig na pagsasawsawan ng soap para mapabula siya. Then sa pagbabanlaw, ganun din. Slow pouring of water while rubbing off the soap suds and bubbles. With this, nagagawa kong maligo ng at least half a medium-sized pail. Pero kaya rin ito sa shower. Basta hindi lang nakabukas ng todo yung shower.
If there's a water crisis - I can use just one planggana para maligo - full body and all. So your usage really depends kung pano makakatipid. Either or.
Pwede shower matipid unless you turn off the shower while scrubbing . But other people they open the shower from the time they get in to the end. Esp in resorts. Palibhasa they thought the water is free.

In our house, mas matipid ang tabo. We have kids aged 5 and 11, they play with water pag shower ang gamitin. So I had it removed. I can save more water. But your comparison depends in every household especially kung gaano kabilis maligo ang isang tao. I don't think its applicable in every household but great info though 😁

For me it depends, like for me i use a bucket of water for my tabo while on the shower more or less 5 mins of shower time, so on this I'll say its more cost effective for tabo but if your a person who uses more than a bucket of water to clean yourself go for the shower its saves more as seen on this video. Tabo technique may help you save by limiting the number of tubs you use when you bathe but not very efficient because like Slater said probably half of the water you splash yourself with using tabo goes away from your body. I’d say it’s wasteful. With shower, you can direct it towards which part of your body you want to wash, e.g. arms, legs, etc.

actually depends, kasi kaya kong maligo ng isang balde lang especially nung nagkawater shortage sa metro manila and actually big factor ang buhok sa ulo, more hair more water BUT i guess mas matipid nga ang shower since point and shoot siya then konti lang naman ung lumalabas na water sa shower head since parang nakapressured siya THO di ko pa natatry gumamit ng shower during a water shortage scenario but yeah i think matipid nga ang shower
Consider using a shower head with an on/off switch, you can turn off shower when you are soaping or shampooing.

If in the perspective that you use a planggana and the water is continuously pouring, time and motion analysis, planggana is still more efficient than of using shower. People in the country often use it because its more cheaper, try to fill in a tub with continuosly pouring shower by the time of how usually done in the shower, and take a bath using only planggana and tabo, and you will see that traditional way of bathing is more efficient.

When I was still in elementary school sinasabi ng mga teacher na mas matipid pag gumamit ng tabo but ever since I'm always saying na mas matipid pag shower spray ang ginamit. Lalo na kung nakasahod pa sa planggana habang naliligo. Mas madaming tubig ang nagagamit pag tabo and hindi ka pa basta masasatisfied pag di mo nabuhusan ng ayos ang likod unlike shower spray pwede ka pang tumalikod. Kaya mas tipid talaga ito.

Para sa akin, tabo. 🙂 Unang buhos, isang tabo na mabagal na ibubuhos sa katawan while rubbing or "spreading" the water onto the body. Then kalahating tabo ng tubig na pagsasawsawan ng soap para mapabula siya. Then sa pagbabanlaw, ganun din. Slow pouring of water while rubbing off the soap suds and bubbles. With this, nagagawa kong maligo ng at least half a medium-sized pail. Pero kaya rin ito sa shower. Basta hindi lang nakabukas ng todo yung shower.

Engineer in our house we use faucet, I think mas madaming water ang nabibigay ng faucet compare po sa shower

Pwede shower matipid unless you turn off the shower while scrubbing . But other people they open the shower from the time they get in to the end. Esp in resorts. Palibhasa they thought the water is free.

Because if gamit natin ang tabo, yung isang buong tubig ng tabo is ibibuhos natin sa body natin in just 4seconds and take note isang buong tubig tabo nayun at yung arm na gamit mo to hold the tabo is baka hindi mopa natatanggal ang sabon compare kapag shower it will take atleast 15sec para lang mapuno mo ang isang tabo at sa loob ng 15seconds nayun matatanggal mona ang sabon sa katawan mo.
Para sakin mas matipid ang tabo-tabo lang kasi nakikita ko at nagiging mindful ako kung gaano karami ang nagagamit ko compared sa shower. Kapag shower, my body tends to relax and love the feeling of flowing water thats why I spend more time in the shower and consume more water.

i use tabo eversince tumitila pa ang tubig sa container. nakakalugas ng buhok ang shower. matipid ang tabo kahit na makalat ang tubig, madali namang maglinis ng banyo eh.

In our house, mas matipid ang tabo. We have kids aged 5 and 11, they play with water pag shower ang gamitin. So I had it removed. I can save more water.
But your comparison depends in every household especially kung gaano kabilis maligo ang isang tao. I don't think its applicable in every household but great info though 😁
Suggestion: Take a bath using tabo po, check if gaano ka rami tubig talaga maubos nyo po. kasi parang andami din ng 5 na palangga compare sa 5minute na usual ligo nyo po.

For me 1planggana is enough, wet hair first then shampoo and soap after it you rinse your whole body.
For me it depends, like for me i use a bucket of water for my tabo while on the shower more or less 5 mins of shower time, so on this I'll say its more cost effective for tabo but if your a person who uses more than a bucket of water to clean yourself go for the shower its saves more as seen on this video. F.Y.I. i usually go for the shower if im not in a hurry(sarap ng feeling ng parang ulan XD ) and tabo if im getting late for work hahaha.
