Laurie thank you so much for the shot of Bailey, she’s adorable....... I really love 💕 these pockets they’re so awesome and beautiful and stunning, and I really love them all.
These are awesome Laurie! I used to crazy quilt so I have a great fabric stash to compliment my paper stash! Keep sharing that creativity as it provides wonderful inspiration to all of us! I appreciate all the techniques you have incorporated into the envelopes!
Hey Sharon.....Oh yes...you being a quilter you will have a wonderful stash. I bet you have awesome, beautiful fabrics. :-) Thanks so much for watching. :-)
These pockets videos are the best, I was in the mood for them last year (tho I know this is an older video, and had the best time) You have the best ideas for just playing and having fun, I always feel inspired to drag out my stash after I watch you. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much Rita. :-) I'm hoping to use up a lot of my paper before I am too old to pick up a pad anymore. lol I better write who gets my paper in my will though because I doubt I'll get through it in time. lol
Thank you Kathlene. :-) I hope you have fun making them. I started making more myself so I have a stack on my desk that I need to finish up. :-) Thank you for watching. :-)
Oh these are just too cute. The fact that they are so simple to make is amazing. I'm definitely gonna make a whole pile of these, but just don't ask me what I'm gonna do with them.😁 Thank you for sharing your creativity and inspiration with us😀
Hi Lubna :-) Awesome! I'm glad you want to make some. Maybe you have made them by now. I'm sure you will come up with something to do with them. I will be showing one of the ways I used mine in a future video but it will be a few weeks since I already have others scheduled to go up. You are so welcome. Thank YOU for watching and taking the time to comment. :-)
Thank you Itaya. :-) I'm so glad you like them. Oh yes...you can make them from fabrc, paper, combo whatever you want. I have some upholstery fabric I was thinking of digging out and making some pockets from but I really, really, really (did I say really? lol) want to use up that paper pad first. lol Thanks so much for watching. I appreciate the comment too. :-)
Very unique designs! I love the videos that you put out. Keep the ideas coming! I have a couple of those tablets of paper. Great way to utilize them. Thanks for sharing this information.
As I said before Just found you . catching up on all of your videos. Love what you are creating can't wait to share this with my daughter. Thinking about all the pockets we can make. So cute Thanks for sharing 🌼
Hi Melony :-) I'm glad you found me. Thank you for being here and watching and I appreciate your kind comments. :-) I'm so glad you are enjoying the videos and I hope your daughter does too. Those pockets are so cute when they are done I hope you enjoy making some. :-) Thanks again. :-)
Hi Tori...thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I am trying to think if I have a flower video. lol If I do, I hope you found it. :-) Thanks for watching. :-)
Hi Darlene :-) Thank you!! I am so glad you like them and I'm very happy you made some. I think that is awesome! You are so welcome. Thanks so much for watching and your comments are always appreciated. :-)
Omg, Laurie, these pockets are beautiful! These and the rag tags have to be some of my favorites you ever created! A journal filled of just those would be epic! Hugs, Debra! By the way, Baylee looks very comfy!!! My Elvis sleeps that way, too, half in, half out! Maybe it's a dog thing and only they know why!! Ha!
Hi Debra....Thanks so much. I agree and I made one of the bags with just pockets. I already have Part II filmed and about ready to upload so i'll have to show it in another video. I think I will be doing a Part III showing how I work in the book so others see and maybe get inspiration so I'll show it then. :-) Baylee and Elvis...two peas in a pod. lol I have wondered how she sleeps that way but I guess if she wasn't comfortable she would move right? lol I am glad Elvis does it too. It seems more normal now hearing that. lol I guess it's a dog thing like you said. I wish they could talk...sometimes. lol Other times I'm glad they can't. I know if Baylee could talk it would be to nag me for food all day. lol Thanks so much for watching. :-)
Thank you ChicFarmer. :-) In Part III of the Junk Your Stuff videos I will show how I used some of my pockets. :-) Others I plan to use in happy mail. :-) Thanks so much for watching. :-)
Awe, sorry you had to do the video again... but thank you for doing it... =) Awe.... Baylee is so adorable. =) Thank you for that photo. =) And I love hearing her snoring. =) COOL!!! LOVE the L book. =) *LOL!* I should find a ribbon to tie, for the next time there's a bow tying ceremony. ;) I love the Pockets, they're COOL. =) They are beautiful! And I love this video too. I love seeing the clips when you're at the sewing machine. =) I Love the dark gray paper pockets. =) The other ones are all great too. =) Wow, that's a lot of mileage on your glue bottle that's almost empty. =) I love your new style of video. =)
Yeah....that was a bummer but at least I got more pockets made. lol You are so welcome!!! I had to put a photo in so you guys would see what I meant. She's a silly girl. lol lol Yeah....I think you should join me for the ribbon tying ceremony. Thanks Phoebe, I appreciate it. I'm so glad you like them. That glue bottle has really surprised me. lol Thanks Phoebe...I'm so glad. :-)
Yeah, at least you got more pockets out of it. =) Silly but loveable. =) Goodoled Baylee. =) *giggles* yeah. ;) (ribbon tying ceremony). Yeah, that glue bottle was worth the money... looks like. =) You're welcome. =)
so adorable. I know what you mean about being impossible to use up some paper pads! Regarding tying bows, I saw a cat hand video recently and she used her reversible tweezers to hold the tie before making the bow. So much easier.
Thank you very much. :-) Oh man...that pad is lasting forever. It will out last me. lol I have more plans for it though so the fight ain't over yet. Sometimes you just have to say ain't ya know? lol My mother would be groaning. lol Yes, I saw Cathy's video about that too. It's a great way to make bows when they are small. Thanks so much for watching. I appreciate you taking the time to comment too. Have a wonderful day. :-)
Hey Joanne, thank you very much. I appreciate it. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. :-) Baylee is funny and rather loud at times but I adore her. :-)
Oh I love these pockets, and I have everything! I was making them with you and realized I need to just haul up my stash and start putting stuff down this evening. How fun, and thanks for sharing!
Hi Linda... thank you. I think it's awesome that you were making them with me. And I am on a use my stash mission so you are welcome to hop on board. lol Thanks again. :-)
Much appreciated. They are so adorable the pockets, All the elements, papers, textures, forms, designs, colors scheme - especially colors, create so interesting patterns. You always says that they're easy to do but for me it looks anything but easy. They are so beautiful , natural but sophisticated at the same time. I kept the screen shot of Baylee, sleeping beauty post as a souvenir for this video. Do you cut your flowers by hand or using die cut machine? Thank you again.
Thank you Ankna :-) I hope you will try them because I really think you can do them. :-) Just go slow and make the folds. If you don't sew then just glue it together. I know you can do it. :-) I have cut some flowers by hand for various projects but only very easy simple flowers. So, for other flower projects I will use a die cut machine or pre made flowers I have had in my stash for a long time. Thanks so much for watching. I appreciate it. :-)
HI just found your channel. Cute stuff. Im sorry you lost your dad. I know how that is I lost my dad in 2011. Never get over it. Hope your well in this dang covid stuff.
Hi Diana :-) Thanks so much. I'm glad you found me. Thank you. I'm sorry you lost your dad too. No, you sure don't. I hope all is well with you too. Thanks for joining me. :-)
Thanks so much Shannon. That means a lot to me. Seeing your name pop up in the comments kinda made me look around like...is she talking to me? lol Thanks for watching. I appreciate it. :-) Have a great day. :-)
Hi Laurie. watching your video really inspired me to make my own pockets. I made 16 in all. They're so addictive to make. I just wanted to ask you what you would use these for and what, if anything you would put in the pockets? I've filled my pockets with a variety of paper goodies and I'm really happy with the way they turned out. Thank you for inspiring me.☺
Hi Lubna...that's awesome!!! Wow 16 is great. You can use them for anything. I plan to use mine in happy mail or in journals but I also made one of the journals I have been making using the pockets. I will show it in Part III. Anything can go inside of them. Flowers you made, index card art, ATCs, photos, scraps or a note to someone....anything goes. :-) Thanks again for watching. :-)
Very pretty! I have a sewing machine but its not set up. I haven't sewn for a long time. I think I will just glue these pockets. What kind of paper trimmer do you have? I can't wait to try these!
Hi Katie. Gluing them works great and it's faster to make them too. The paper trimmer I was using was just one of those cheap Cricut paper trimmers you can get at Hobby Lobby. I don't know what they cost now but when I bought mine it was about $6. I hope you make some and enjoy it. I'd love to see them if you make some too. :-)
Hi Donna. I have not made these with fabric but I think you could make them from fabric the same way I made the paper ones. However using fabric might mean the pockets are a bit flimsy. You may can use a stiffer fabric and it work fine. If you are gluing them into a journal and don't care if the pocket is soft then just use the fabric in it's natural state. If I was going to make mine with fabric I might double up on my fabric to make them more stable and/or use a light weight stabilizer. A spray fabric stiffener might do the trick but I can't say for sure since I haven't tried it. If I was using burlap or faux leather or drapery/upholstery type fabric the I wouldn't do anything to the fabric and just make the pocket like I did with the paper. I hope this helps you. Best thing really is just try it and see what happens. That is what I would do. :-)
Thank you so much- I love your videos - keep them coming! I really thought in the first part of this video you said fabric and paper envelopes. I am going to make some and use up a paper pad I think or try to!
Hey Donna. Ohhhhh, ok. That makes sense. I probably did say that but I was referring to the fact that I use fabric scraps and fabric flowers I made on the paper pockets. I'm sorry for the confusion. I do think fabric pockets would be super cute though. :-) I am so glad you will make some. Have fun!!! :-)
Okay, thank you. I took a piece from pack, but it is the heavier decorated paper and didn't care for the way the stitching looked....hard to get the tension correct. Will try with another pack of 12x12 paper that is much lighter.
Adorable! I'm new to your channel and now i'm binge watching everything, love it all! Question: do you sell your items, would love to own something of yours? TFS ~ L (love Bailey!)
Hi Leslie. :-) Thank you and welcome to my channel. I'm so glad you found your way here. I used to sell dolls I created from my own patterns years ago but I have not been selling anything for a long time. I have never sold anything mixed media but I have been asked so the idea floats around in my head so maybe one day. Thanks so much for asking. I do appreciate it. And thank you for watching. :-)
lololol Oh my goodness Pattay....that is so funny. lol I guess I just assume everyone knows Baylee is my beagle. I forget when new people come on board they may not know everything that has been going on since I started. I'm glad you got a good laugh though....I would have been surprised when the photo popped up too. lol Thanks for sharing that with me. It gave me a laugh too. lol
Hi ,it's adorable, just love it, ( about the last video bag tag rag,my mother doesn't speak English but she call me to say it's soooo beautiful, one of the most beautiful things she have seen ,and because you're my " friend" (😁😁😁) if I could please congratulate you ) , Done ! Thank you for sharing.💖 Congratulations
Hi Laura :-) Thank you...I'm so glad you like them. Wow....what a wonderfully sweet comment from your mom. Please tell her I said thank you very much and it was very kind of her. :-) Thank you for watching and always leaving such nice comments. :-)
These are cute Laurie. I don't have a sewing machine & the thought of hand stitching seems more than I want to do right now-at least to paper. So I will admire yours and use it as inspiration for another way to make jj pockets. Your paper pad that you're trying to use up is cute!
Hey Ashley :-) Thank you. I'm glad you like them. Oh gosh....I would not hand stitch these pockets either. But if you don't have a sewing machine you can glue them. I made some like that and put them in one of the Junk Your Stuff journals. I show it in the video I put up today Part III. I didn't show how to make the envelope but I showed how I used them in the journal. Just follow the same steps and where you stitch....just glue. :-) I used washi tape on my edges after glueing the sides but I also added so glue to the washi tape so it would stay down since washi tape has a tendency to not want to stick for long. I hope you try making them this way. It's faster and easier to glue even though I do prefer to stitch them only because I like the stitch look. :-) I hope this helps you. Thank you so much for watching. :-)
Lovely pockets. Such a fun and colorful way to use your scraps. ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Carol :-) It's always so nice to see you. Thank you. I'm glad you liked them. Thank you as always for watching. :-)

Are you using the heavy paper ?
No, I am using very light weight paper. Probably not much heavier than good copy paper..
Okay, thank you. I took a piece from pack, but it is the heavier decorated paper and didn't care for the way the stitching looked....hard to get the tension correct. Will try with another pack of 12x12 paper that is much lighter.
You are very welcome. Good luck. I'm sure they will be great. :-)
Oh...and thank you for your kind comment about Baylee...she's a sweetheart. :-)
ROFLMAO,,,, all this time I thought Bailey was a baby❣😂😂😂😂 she said Bailey's head's not in her bed but she is....then panned over to a dog❣
lololol Oh my goodness Pattay....that is so funny. lol I guess I just assume everyone knows Baylee is my beagle. I forget when new people come on board they may not know everything that has been going on since I started. I'm glad you got a good laugh though....I would have been surprised when the photo popped up too. lol Thanks for sharing that with me. It gave me a laugh too. lol

Hi Laura :-) Thank you...I'm so glad you like them. Wow....what a wonderfully sweet comment from your mom. Please tell her I said thank you very much and it was very kind of her. :-) Thank you for watching and always leaving such nice comments. :-)
Laura Orta y’all I’m finna 🎄🌲📝✏️
