See a pattern... The Don comes in changes everything around the club, kit colour, training regime etc.... Howard Wilkinson comes in and changes lots of things, training ground, academy... Now Bielsa has come in and made massive changes to the club, way of life at the club.... Change is always needed before greatness happens. I really believe that we are on the brink of actual greatness under Bielsa. Get us in the prem and let him spend prem money on players he feels will make us great. It is a good time to be a Leeds fan

Sadly, it never happened with Bielsa. Yes, he led us back to the PL but nearly took us down again, hence his sacking.

After Bielsa we went straight from the frying pan into the fire. Now be the time to re-imagine ourselves and rise from the ashes.

Just a Sunderland fan dropping in here. He is an absolute amazing manager and the Motor Neurone story is devastating. R.I.P Don Revie

I don't think of Revie, I think of Bremner, Hunter, Clarke, Charlton, Giles. He was about his players.
And Peter Lormier. What an amazing group of players they were

A great book on the Revie years at LUFC is "The Unforgiven" by Rob Bagchi & Paul Rogerson.
I think that if 'The Don' had stayed at the club instead of yielding to the temptation of international management they'd have won the European Cup...corrupt officials permitting... Then he could have set about rebuilding the team the way Bill Shankly did at Liverpool; gradually over a few seasons. Then the England job would come when the time was right.
