    It's never a bad thing to learn that your wrong on something, when it's backed up by facts. That's how we stay smarter, by learning.
    And greeting to the older generation of the family, great to see them join in on the action, that's just awesome.

    That's a scary thing to see embers coming out of the fan... YIKES!

    Very interesting results on the soybean row spacing. You are hard on washing machines. LOL!!! Scary stuff when embers are visible on a combine. Yikes! Your dealer has to find a fix. Good thing your other identical combine doesn't act the same or you would think it is a design flaw. Thanks for the harvest time video, really enjoyed it.

    regards that combine fire , good on you guys for detective work , Nice to resolve it before a serious fire cimbine loss . From what i hear , both LMS and Drummonds serve their customers well. This is a case where AGCO has an opportunity to gain some PR and goodwill by sending a thank you email with a 10% discount coupon on a winter combine service at dealer's shop ( my thoughts anyways ).

      They are both awesome dealers. Crazy how some don't consider dealer awesomeness. I do believe LMS is gaining customers, not sure how Drummond farm service is doing but they are great as well.

    Does the 5 extra bushel pay for the extra seed is the question

  • @gavinperry7237
    @gavinperry7237 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

    How many extra bushels per acre do you think you need to offset the cost of extra seed & machinery cost for double pass seeding when going from 30” rows to 15” rows ? Thanks

    • @TwinElmFarms
      @TwinElmFarms 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The seed wouldn't be any extra, same rate 15" to 30". This year, if we were to have continuously yielded 5 bushel more per acre on 15". We would have made an extra 70k. It wouldn't take much to pay for another planter. Something to consider when you look at it this way.

    Scary when there is a combine fire. I remember back in the 80's when we were farming and and the neighbor was combing corn and the exhaust was cherry red and throwing sparks. Don't know how he didn't set the field on fire
    I'm from the states by the way

      Corn would be tough to switch to 15", and I don't see the benefit in corn.

    SORRY, you need to take the seal and bearing off the axle, put the bearing in the back of the hub and drive the seal into the hub. 28:53 (Just like a trailer axle ). The way you have it, the back of the hub isn't sealed and dirt and water are going to get in.

    Something definitely has to be haywire, no way a combine should continue to catch fire like that, especially with all the preventative maintenance you guys are doing
