You should get Batgirl! I just finished the first trade of the new reboot and adored it. Brendan Fletcher, who writes for Gotham Academy, also writes that along with the new AMAZING Black Canary reboot. I think it's all part of DC's Young Gotham titles, which tbh I prefer to basically everything else happening in DC right now. I'm hoping to pick up Grayson and Gotham Academy soon :D :D :D

I've just started getting into comics this year too! I haven't really ventured much outside of Marvel though, so you're probably doing better than me ehe. Ms. Marvel was 100% an A++++ choice, oh man, every volume so far has been /so good/. SAGA is my favorite!!! and its from the same publishing company as alex and aida! image comics publishs amazing works, what i do is i check out the publishing companys of each of the trading comics because they usually have a lot of different genres and it also a good way to start to get into comic books, i also reccomend going to like a vintage comic book store, or a comic book store in general its so cool to walk in!

Naty Munive Alex + Ada was kinda boring and I thought it was like Chobits but it was completely different from what I thought....I think the second vol gets more into the story but I didn't like the first one "/

Fadeout looks soooo good! I really want to read Alex + Ada as well as Young Avengers. Descender #1 and Trees look really interesting too, I was browsing through the comic book store and found those, might pick them up soon.
Really happy that you're starting to read comics! I've wanted to get into comics for a long time, and you're helping me finding some good ones. The first I picked up was Liquid City volume one and two. I really like them. It's all southern Chinese artists, so it contains a lot of different art styles and stories :)
Have you tried your local comic book store? If they don't have something, then they usually have no problem ordering a copy for you (like indie book stores do with books).

If you can't find volume 2 for the young avengers one, I am guessing that they are still releasing the single issues. Once they have a fair amount of those they will bind them up into a trade paperback :) thats just me guessing, though. I could be wrong

You probably can't find The Young Avengers volume 2 is probably because they haven't released the trade for those issues so I recommend if you want to know what happens next you'll probably have to get the single issues.

Good on your terminology! When I first started watching this, I said to myself, "I really need to recommend Young Avengers," so I'm glad you were already a step ahead! I also struggled with finding Vol. 2, but I found it in my local comic book shop. You should check out the Fables series, as well as the New 52 Wonder Woman. There is some really amazing art in both!
Will you also be hauling single issues? You should totally check out Secret Wars by Marvel. It's only 8 issues and 4 of them are out now. Marvel is relaunching their comics this September.
Also a really nice cute cozy comic is MouseGuard: Legends of the Guard It's mice telling stories about courage and it's very inspring, cute, and a nice laid back read ^-^
Young avengers is a great little series ,I would definitely recommend the new 52 batman court of owls if your into batman (and the new batgirl comic but start on issue 35 I believe the trade just came out)
I'm not sure if you were into this tv show when you were younger but I recently (recently meaning today) found saved by the bell in comic book form. The first volume is already out. Another great comic is lumber janes which was drawn by the same person who draw the fangirl cover for rainbow Rowell

I was surprised to hear its hard to get Young Avengers vol 2... i usually shop from aust based stores and they have it but i don't think they ship internationally. There is a digital comic store where you can read it digitally called comixology. It's pretty cheap in the US with most issues going from 0.99 -2.99 each or 12.99 - 14.99 a volume. Also i think you'd like scott pilgrim.
If you love the art in Lumberjanes you should check out Nimona! It's drawn AND written by Noelle Stevenson, who did the illustrations for Lumberjanes and also the Fangirl cover!

I think Deadly Class is my favorite of the two Rick Remender series I have picked up so far (I bought Low recently as well, haven't gotten to it yet), but he also writes a sci-fi action/adventure called Black Science that I'm enjoying so far. There's two trades out right now.
Read the Nightcrawler series! The artist is Todd Nauck and it is one of my favorite series ever. ElfQuest is also great and I Kill Giants is the one I am currently reading!

Lumberjanes is great. Gotham Academy is the only one I get issue by issue. Try the library for reading Young Avengers until it's cheap.
