To me, it isn't worth shit. It's an eyesore in an otherwise organic and sensible neighborhood. If you want to see an architectural masterpiece, go look at the restored Victorian homes all over San Francisco, not this piece of garbage that will eventually be the laughing-stock of the neighborhood.

I might be weird but honestly with this amount of money that this home probably cost, I rather spent it on a nice property a bit away from other neighbors.
I'm not antisocial but i do like privacy. I just don't see myself buying a home this expensive on a crowded neighborhood.
I don't care if it's a few minutes away from the city, it wouldn't bother me at all.

Nice place... Too bad the original home built in 1917 was demolished and lost (including 3 magnificent enormous old-growth pine trees) to make way for this modern box that doesn't fit with the rest of the Queen Anne's in the neighborhood. To LPG, great job as always! I'll credit the architect, as it's a great design -- for an office building that should be downtown, not a residence snuggled on the hillside surrounded by homes over a century old. I never understood that. But hey, developers will do whatever to make a buck, historical neighborhoods be damned!

Pines are messy, pest-ridden and weak. Garbage trees. The only worthwhile pines aren't actually pines. Huon Pine and Norfolk Island Pine.

Masterpiece may be a bit over the top. More painting-by-numbers corporate-inspired home design--not dissimilar to the quality found in a Hyatt resort.

    I like it.
We've done more than enough fetishizing of the Queens (Anne, Victoria and Edward) to last this City and County many lifetimes.
Change happens. San Francisco is the most architecturally cowardly city on Earth. Timid. Limited. Over-planned. Over-restricted. Any wannabe critic within a vast radius can (and will) have a hissy over a building and waste vast oceans of time attempting to crush any creativity or iconoclasm.
We NEED more iconic, risky buildings that DON'T "fit in" by disappearing, but are spectacular in their own right.
    IMHO.
