My dad loved Nash. We had several "bathtub" Nash when I was a kid...

There is much misinformation out there on this car, but the owner really knows the history. Good show!

    Thanks for sharing this.
I love this car, she's one of my favorites for this period, as well the 1949 and 1950, all round, soft and cute,, like a gold fish, than the 1951, more elegant, more stylish and refined maybe, but still gorgeous and appealling.

My family were Nash owners. My uncle had a 1947 Nash, after WWII. My wife had 1963 Nash Rambler that she bought from her older sister who paid $1,600 new! My father owned his only new car, 1976 AMC Hornet that cost about $3,000. new, and my friend owned a 1953 Nash Healey two-seater sports car. All through High School, I wanted to buy a new Nash Metropolitan, 1963 that cost $1.495. new, but never did! Unfortunately, the unusual styles of Nashes & AMC cars, i.e. Hornets, Pacers, etc. were not for everyone, so the company went out of business, Too bad!

My dad had a four door. We kids would ride on the floor in the back until we got carsick lol. Even back then it got 30 mpg. I have a 1:87 scale model of that car.

That could be a twin to my Grandpa's car... He had a 1951 Statesman Club Coupe, wish I had it now!

Lovely, looks like it just rolled out of the factory. Even better, maybe.
1:05. Taillights have a Christian cross pattern! I wondered if I was mis-remembering the cars I saw on Kenosha's streets when I was a kid. The taillights shone like little crosses. There it is in the close-up.
As a teen in the 70s, I came to respect the neighbors' AMCs and liked the elegant yet not over-done styling. I remember being 'wowed' when I rode along on a day trip in an Ambassador wagon driven by my friend's dad, an AMC engineer. That thing was a sports car compared to my parents' clamshell Chevy wagon.

Precursor to the teardrop design so common in today's bland designs.

Nash vehicles were "orphans" for a reason; They were LEMONS!

It was RENAULT of France that bought Rambler and imported the Rambler Classic in Europe. The cars were assembled in the Renault factory in Belgium. But Renault could not cope with the yearly model changes typical of the American auto industry, so they abandoned after only a couple of years due to poor sales numbers.
