Just say yes!

I'm thrilled to announce that I'm taking a big leap in my life by finally finishing a book I've been working on for the past two years. This book has been a labor of love, with ideas and thoughts jotted down on everything from napkins to receipts. The title has evolved from "Safety, Security, and Stability are the Three Deadly Sins" to "Living in Your Safety Zone," and it may change again before it's complete.
Next week, I'll head to the British Virgin Islands with my daughter, Keira Brinton, a book publisher, book channeler, and book whisperer. Keira helps authors write their books by creating inspiring adventures away from their usual environments. I'll be joining her and other authors for this inspiring writing retreat.
As exciting as this leap is, it's also been scary. I love my comfort zone and am a self-proclaimed "queen of comfort." However, I've learned that true growth happens when I say yes to the unknown and step out of my predictable routines. My first trip to China was one of the scariest experiences of my life, but it led to incredible personal growth. In fact, I met my current business coach and teacher, Sheevaun Moran, at a seminar in California about 14 years ago. At first, I wasn't impressed, but something inside told me to go. I realized I wanted to coach with her. And that was the reason. That's what took me there.
I will be sharing some of my adventures next week in the islands, and I'll be writing. We all have callings inside that ask us to take leaps of faith.
