It is great to see iconic vintage RC models being restored. I recently started restoring my original Tamiya Holiday Buggy from the 1980's. This involved stripping the paint from the body and re-painting it back to box art colours. I also have some UV-yellowed plastic parts that I am going to try to restore as well. As for the electronics, everything still works including the Acoms RC system and the 40 year old Tamiya 6V Ni-Cd battery, so these parts will just be given a clean-up. If you are interested, you can check out my Holiday Buggy restoration at channel, BlackSeaRC.
