Happy Friday Everyone! Thanks Shawn, for another great drop. The Nova was bad-ass when he bought it, but Lakeside Speed & Shine took it to another level. Great work and a truly amazing car to own and drive
Another beauty build by Lakeside. I'm all about respecting these car's capabilities. Hey, when you have the kind of cash it takes to build a custom hot rod like this, It's about fun, not about beating the snot out of it... even though you could.
ROGAN GAVE YOU A MAJOR SHOUT OUT ON HIS LAST EPISODE WITH THE ROADSTER SHOP BOYS YESTERDAY!!!!!HELL YEAH BROTHER!!!YOU HAVE HIT THE BIG TIME!!!!DONT FORGET US LIL GUYS THAT HAVE BEEN HERE FROM THE START BROTHER!!!!KEEP ROCKN SEAN!!!!!
So good! Had the 66 SS with a 4 bolt 327 that I built in Mom's basement back in high school back in the mid 70's. Put every paycheck I had in it at $1.65/hour and thanks to the swap meets and helpful vets who were everywhere in Detroit's hottest stuff of the day, I had a smokin' ride. Still recall every race I had on the streets in South Mpls including the time I ran against a 62 Chevy II and a better driver with a bigger budget. He had that pearly shag carpet on the rear deck and that's bout all I got to see! He dropped by later at the A & W to give me few tips on launching and how to better set the timing! Great car! Great times and great people everywhere back then.
Really cool to see how involved the owner is with the build. You can really tell how passionate he is about it. I dig the red om the rims, color is so rare nowaday on rims and i appriciate it being different. Killer build. Great show.
THIS. THIS is the kind of builder mentality that more people need to emulate. Design it first, THEN build it right the first time. ALSO: I call it - the official name for this car is ALL IN!
Thank you for detailing the wheel and tire sizes!! It's super helpful information to folks that are trying to gauge what they might want to do on their own projects at home. Excellent video! I like the look of the rear tucked wheels. Frankly, the stance generally is oustanding. Well done Sir, and sweet ride Yo.
My jaw dropped when he popped the hood - wicked cool! (especially since he lived there and got married there). That fuel filler behind the driver's side tail ight though... next level genius in creativity. Oh, and 57 isn't old, buddy! I've got you by a year and feel like a champ. James has good taste and I love this build.
the cool thing is that these are customs and the choices are by the customer/owner, that's the nature of a custom, build it how you want it, they are all one offs
Very Nice Build...It's a Car that you can change a little over the years and it will always look amazing.... for example, change the red on wheels, change the wheels and go old school Autodrags... Cool Car...
Love it! I like that you went non traditional. There are THOUSANDS of traditional builds out there, make it your own, like you did. AWESOME CAR!!! SO BAD ASS!!! Definitely not a wig on a pig 😆
The casino theme paintjob is something we should see in reality, cause I know for one that a camera hasn't got the ability to capture the real depth and details of those kind of paintjobs, especially when you're in the red candy spectrum. A friend of mine had a paintjob done on his C10, real fire true flames (it had the vintage hotrod flames on it before) And when he received some pictures of a first glance of it he was actually devistated, he called me up and actually asked me to come over and take a look at the pictures on his computer(this was way before smartphones) He was all in anger that his car was ruined. I told him to calm down and go see the car. Turns out it was fantastic, we even picked it up on a rainy day and later on when the sun came out, my buddy was totally baffled, because when the sun hit that real fire paintjob, it just looked as if the flames popped out. My guess is that the depth in that casino paintjob theme is probably phenomenal
I saw the thumbnail and went, hmm. Orange wheels. Then it all made sense. I love it and I hate orange hahaha. Great looking car. Like I said, it works!!!!
Great dude, love his energy and excitement, that is one clean Nova, great all around build. Skulls and cards on the intake and valve covers, I was kinda blown away to see that when you guys popped the hood. :)
I love this car and really like the owner as well. Total bond with the car and just a cool, articulate guy who really appreciates this thing. Awesome episode!
This turned out amazingly well. Congrats on the build. Constructive recommendation here, and I think its a "me" thing. What about a gun metal finish (like the rims) for the bumpers, grill, around the lights, maybe the trim around the windows? I like the departure from where chrome would normally be.
This is a sick ride! I can't stand Nardo anymore, but this combo turned out sick. The little subtleties like the gas taillight cap are awesome. What a great CLEAN ride, man! Another great vlog ATLA.
I normally don't talk like this but the way this car idles it moves my soul. It announces itself to the world and says "I'm a mean ass muther fucker & if you want some of this then get in, buckle up, shut up, and hang on. You've just met the BOSS.✊
Very sweet nova.loving the runble of the hi lobe cam and the stance is perfect.not just another 66 nova cookie cutter custom. Mad respect to Jim and lakeside speed ,shine for doing what they do.
It's amazing before you show who is driving the car, right off you know it's the owner driving the car just sound difference and handling of the car. like always enjoy your video guy
Badass car when you said column shifter that was the car I learned how to drive in it was a Chevy Nova 2 White 3 on the tree😊 my neighbors taught me how to drive that car
I wouldn't change a thing!!!!! I gotta say, my favorite thing about it is it's Sound!!!! It let's everyone know it's something to be reckoned with.... Just do those things you were talking about doing and Drive the Friggin Wheels off of it... Bitchen Ride!!! 👍👍👍
Just watch is this and immediately thought how it looks similar to my truck. Not sure if I can post a pic here if it. It's gray also, but with a green strip on the hood just like this. That's black with red looks great on there
Very Very nice! Thanks for always coming through with the Fly rides.
Thanks for watching. Nice build
That color is absolutely beautiful
Happy Friday Everyone! Thanks Shawn, for another great drop. The Nova was bad-ass when he bought it, but Lakeside Speed & Shine took it to another level. Great work and a truly amazing car to own and drive

I want a Nova so bad. I have seen all of you Nova interviews. This one is right up there with the rest of them. Very sick build
Beautiful Nova man, seriously BAD-ASS!!!
Another beauty build by Lakeside. I'm all about respecting these car's capabilities. Hey, when you have the kind of cash it takes to build a custom hot rod like this, It's about fun, not about beating the snot out of it... even though you could.

This grey color is everywhere now…. Very cool modern color on resto mods
Really cool to see how involved the owner is with the build. You can really tell how passionate he is about it. I dig the red om the rims, color is so rare nowaday on rims and i appriciate it being different. Killer build. Great show.
Badass car! I agree I would go with black carpet and put the amplifiers in the trunk or hide them. I also love the black trim around the windows.
THIS. THIS is the kind of builder mentality that more people need to emulate. Design it first, THEN build it right the first time. ALSO: I call it - the official name for this car is ALL IN!
Excellent work Jim and you guys 😊

That intake is so crazy cool!!
My jaw dropped when he popped the hood - wicked cool! (especially since he lived there and got married there). That fuel filler behind the driver's side tail ight though... next level genius in creativity. Oh, and 57 isn't old, buddy! I've got you by a year and feel like a champ.
