Gotta love how the crowd explodes at the end of the first verse, and their jumping shakes the whole place. You can clearly see the camera shake like there is an eathquake. Insane.
@@minav07 nah, thats no possible, 7th grade????? you know the Ritcher scale its up tp 10, theres no way it was 7th grade. unless youre counting them together
I recommend that you watch the DVD, especially the part where the public arrives at the stadium, people can not express more happiness, as the event approaches. The stadium has a capacity for 70,000 people and was fully filled during the three days of recital. That if, if you go to this event, you have to be willing to jump not five minutes, if not to participate in the show during the duration of the event, and to be completely exhausted during the following days. This is how the show is enjoyed in Argentina.
I know someone who was there that night back in 2009 and he told me he's never experienced anything like it, and down the years he's been to see all the top rock bands, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Def Leppard....the stadium is indeed a soccer stadium, and the estimates of the crowd size average around 100,000-120,000. Can you imagine being up on that stage and the incredible adrenalin rush you'd get from a crowd like that???? JESUS!!!!!
After this recital, the River Plate stadium was closed for recitals because the sound of the band and the jumping of the public caused movements and cracks in the nearby buildings. Recitals could not be held for several months. It was epic!
"An AC/DC concert from Buenos Aires in December 2009 when nearly 200,000 fans, over 3 sold-out nights, thunderously welcomed them back after a -year absence from Argentina."
My aunt has seen them several times. She says that everytime they played thunder struck and said thunder the whole stadium would shake like a tornado was coming through
Honestly AC / DC is a band and they give it all onstage. But the public is not only like that with them, I have seen interviews Ian Astbury (The Cult), Ace Frehley (KISS), Jay Kay (Jamiroquai), Lars Ulrich (Metallica), Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Brian May (QUEEN), Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards (Rolling Stones), Johnny Ramone (The Ramones), Noel Gallagher (OASIS) and many others say that the Argentine public are unique. And but you can also see the band Indio Solari and their song “Jijiji” or Soda Stereo and their song “De Música Ligera” or Ciro y Los Persas with their song “Antes y Después” all live versions and I assure you that they will jump out of their chairs and take off their shirts and turn them over their heads like a helicopter. Take the test and you will see
the Argentine public is crazy friend, I see that you reacted to cadi all the lives of acdc in River Plate, it reacts to "Argentina best crow ever" th-cam.com/video/4Ln-mqqIQUM/w-d-xo.html where the best-known bands recognize Argentina as the best public in the world. you react EXACTLY like I do when I hear this song!!!!!!...and I am a 67 year old grandma who has AC/DC t-shirts, pajamas and boxer shorts with their logo.....I took my 2 20-something sons to AC/DC on the Black Ice tour....they were blown away, and so many people MY age that have loved them since the 70's brought THEIR kids and grandkids to see them!!!....BEST.BAND.EVER!!!!!
Fun fact im swedish and AC/DC got their recognition worldwide after touring in Sweden :). You should check out the song "if you want blood" With bon scott as singing.
They played three nights here by the way, Black Ice Tour. Best of the best and Power Up is such a fabulous album .. get it now guys. Best album for decades.
I fucking LOVE your reaction, you cant sit still, i perfectly know what your efeeling, and your not one of the few, there are milllions of poeple feeling the same. For those about to rock i salute you
I saw and heard them at the Helsinki Olympic Stadion in June 2009. I didn't know when I woke up in the morning that I'd going to their concert in the evening. It was awesome! Their walkway was almost hundred meters long and Angus jumped it back and forth multiple times during the evening. When I did an update to my FB account afterwards, one of my friends was shocked me being there because he thought I only listened to artists like Celine Dion or Laura Pausini. PS. My first CDs were ACDC. Of course I had other cassettes and vinyls but first CDs were theirs. And I still have them almost 30 years later. ;)
They say that the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires shakes, really shakes with some kind of seismic waves when there are big soccer matches, like for example a classic like River Plate vs Boca Juniors. For argentinians soccer is religion and their passion. So seems to be Rock and Roll. You see in this crowd very young people, enjoying it as if it was the last day in their lives. Artists from many countries have realized that they want to record their live shows there, because is THE BEST CROWD IN THE WORLD.
This concert caused a 2.7 earthquake. Later that year they played at Long Beach outdoor arena and paid the Navy gunner ship there to fire the cannons during the final song “For those about to rock”… They knocked out the power to Long Beach for 6 hours and caused hearing loss to 45,000 people. They ended with “well i guess that’s the end of the show… goodnight.”
Lita Ford said this was not a hard song to play but I sure never saw her do it if you play guitar just try doing Angus's part you have to be a machine never mind running around the stage looking like a Rock God :-)
I have a friend who plays in a band. He's says isn't not hard either. But it doesn't make it not good either. Parts don't have to be hard to be great. It's a great guitar part hard or not. It's why the sound was good.
Come to South America, when things get better, for a concert in a Soccer Stadium. Is something unique. As well as in a Theater. Both unique! Ps: I'm for Brazil.
