Great video Nate!! Your Coupland teir list was also impeccable
Appreciate it! Coupland's a nostalgic fave of mine and I always end up waxing a lot longer than I intended. Glad someone else can appreciate it.
Think about how hot it had to be for dinosaurs of cold blood that size, to survive. It must have been 125 degrees for millions of years
I hope you didn't pick Seattle. They are overdue for a massive earthquake that will destroy a significant fraction of western Washington. It's otherwise the most beautiful / pleasant part of the country.
The middle class has never and does not exist. There are workers and owners, and you can bet that the owners will do everything in their power to cut the wages of any workers they can. Higher-paying jobs don't exist out of the goodness of the employer's heart, the employer tolerates the expense because the employee generates at least double what they are paid for their work. Unless the company is a startup, in which case they just burn piles of venture capital to price competition out of the market before rolling out their real prices.
Just because collapse didn't happen doesn't mean that it won't. California, our nation's primary producer of agriculture, is running out of water because of that agriculture industry. The other parts of the country that grow crops are dealing with unpredictable massive freezes when those never happened before, and having one especially late in the year can have major impacts on agricultural yields.
