This place is connected to Indus civilisation highly developed towns with all amenities. Later the highly civilised people moved downwards towards their homeland Tamilnadu. There must have been valid reasons.
Since they were traders they finally reached an eastern port city in Cholanadu , POOMPUHAR. They settled there and traded with the then developing eastern regions.

Dholavir must have been located near big Himalayan river like Sarswati or a tributaries! You can't make big drains and water wells unless there is a big river nearby! Once river dried out site abandoned!
