Thank you so much Fifi! Wow, it's incredible that you've been journaling since such a young age - you must have quite a cool collection of journals. I agree about journals being an extension of ourselves, which can make it quite scary and vulnerable at times, but overall quite healing. Happy journaling!

@@mae_moss You said it happy and vulnerable.. when i moved out of my parents at 17, i had a huge garage bag with all my journal, but my dad thought it was real garage! I realised the next day, i didnt have it, but my dad had already thrown in in a container, dont know where.
I cried my self out. (If my sentences seems weird, it's because english is not my first language :-)
But since then, i kept every thing, i have journals everywhere in my place, im surrended by those lol.
Journals, book, writing, is my true passion. After that, its travel ;-)
That cost a little bit more, but so worthed😊
I see life like the chapters of a book.
      Our book.
Going through the differents stages of our life, chapters, so many joy, challenge etc, happens, journalling, is like our best friend, that follows us, 24 hours a day.
I remember at 9 years old, sad memory, i was coming back home from the library, with my brother, and we saw our little dog, getting out of our parking running to the street, and he got it by a car.
That was too much for me, first time i experience sadness and pain lime that.
But i remember, i grabbed my journal, and Ho did i cursed, describing the #$%^&* big blue car that hit our dog. So i lost
I got it out, and i know, it helped me, not keeping it inside. I could use any "bad words" lol, i wouldnt have never said to a real friend ;-))
Overall, i have all the memories of my life so far, its an incredible treasure, i will always cherish those precious books.
      Dont ever stop writing🩷🧡❤️

@@FifiJustice-pd8tf Thank you so much for sharing. I'm sorry to hear about your lost journals - I can't imagine losing any of my own. Once I had a dream where I threw all of my journals into the ocean one by one, and then I got so scared of losing them that I dove back in and got them all again. It's scary putting so much of yourself into a book with no certainty of what's going to happen to it. But, as you say, keep writing. I can't quite kick the habit.
I'm sorry to hear about your dog as well. It's wonderful that you got it all out in your journal though. I agree with the sentiment that it's a place to put things you wouldn't say to a real friend. I think this makes journaling an excellent tool of properly working through feelings, without having to worry if you're saying it right.
I think you will appreciate this quote from Tom Rosenthal's 'Forgets Slowly'
"It's all just chapters in the end,
Some we receive and some we send,
And some are just written really badly."

I like your journaling style. It's unique with a crocheted cover...and why didn't I think of drawing the covers of my books? Plus you remind me of my niece.

Thank you so much! I came around to the idea of drawing the book covers because I had seen so many beautiful spreads online where people had printed the book covers out. Unfortunately I don't have a great printer lol so I made do, but I think I prefer drawing them now anyway!

That crochet sleeve is so beautiful, as are your notebooks. What materials did you use to do the patchwork design?

    • @mae_moss
      @mae_moss หลายเดือนก่อน

Thank you so much Rachel! For the patchwork design I used some knockoff alcohol markers, which would explain the bleeding, but I liked the colours so I was willing to make the sacrifice haha
