My Dad grew up in the Farms. My Grandfather had a store on the Hill. I have wonderful memories of my childhood spent there. My Dad was feeling brazen one night while he was driving us home from my Grandparents house in Gross Point. He did a lawn job with his Mustang on one of the impeccable properties there. It was a very short kick for my Dad. The cops literally appeared out of thin air and stopped his fun. Luckily, he could prove having grown up there, gone to school there. His ego was ruffled, but no punishment was administered. 😅 1:09

I would love to see these businesses loaded front to back, especially the restaurants and bars, but the problem is people are afraid to go to grosse pointe because the cops are going to pull them over if they have one or two cocktails, so establishments that thrive off of alcohol especially this deep in grosse pointe, don't get people from outside grosse pointe cuz nobody wants to end up paying thousands upon thousands of dollars & having their life ruined temporarily because these small towns in Michigan are overzealous about trying to do money grabs on people over nonsense that other places like Chicago for instance, don't mess with people about.
Stop with the stupid pulling people over for garbage tickets and let these small town business attract people.
I'm one of them. I'd love to come into GP and have a nice dinner and a few drinks once in a while but the risk of getting pulled over on my way home is just too much.
Unfortunately you don't have the luxury of being centralized like a place like R.O. or Ferndale so anyone from outside has to pay for a Lyft or Uber ride through the ghetto wall to get there which costs $$

Gp isn't hurting for money, the cops just get bored cause all they have in their day are a couple drunk kids somewhere. Aint right perhapa for them to do it, but I've never been in their shoes
