I’ve never been a major IDM/Deconstructed Club fan, I like a few stuff here and there but it was never my thing. With that said, this set is so fun and energetic that I can’t help but love it. Thank you upsammy
Why this music needs to be played at a live venue to an audience is beyond me. Unenjoyable even on LSD. Another example of Europeans getting a little too cutesy avant-garde with their artistic pursuits. This is the musical version of smelling your own farts.
@@jompa1554 of course, music as such is highly subjective, genres of music on the other hand are less subjective and more objectively defined and limited by their definition. As soon you specify a genre(EDM, dance music, classical etc) you place objective parameters on what the music is and should be, and it can live up or not live up to those standards, ie: there is such a thing as bad classical music. That's 1 reason why there are almost endless subgenres of techno and house, as each subgenre is trying to specify parameters that make "acid house" acid house or make "trance" trance. This music is on a channel(boiler room)that is devoted to dance music and EDM, and it does not live up to the relatively non-trivial standards of what dance music "is" in my mind. Further evidenced by the relatively low energy and lack of engagement from the crowd. Not seeing a whole lot of inspired and energetic dancing that you find in other more "conventional" dance music sets. Now, I have may have a subjective view of what dance music is and what a "rave" or "dance party" is. But this music falls too far outside that definition for me and I don't think I'm unique in that thought. I don't care for the postmodern view.

You don't think music is highly subjective?
