well this is from a 25 plus veteran of tattooing.. apprenticeships today ..most aren't properly done, I don't believe in receiving money for teaching someone the art.. 2 if they can't draw don't even try to teach them. 3.. Mr Miyagi their ass wax on wax off ... make these hand out generation stuck up generation work for it so they'll not be a rock star but be a real tattooer that loves this industry... had them a 1/2 handle toothbrush and make em scrub that bathroom floor over and over and over til they're tired of getting ya to show it and get told again... and 1 more thing if you're good enough to teach someone make it just that '1' not a group of flunkies. we are already over saturated now... and make them respect this industry and therefore they will appreciate and love it as well!! that's all I got..
Johnny your a great tattoo artist I've watched your videos for the past 3 years now and Im a senior in high school I've been preparing myself for my up coming apprenticeship this summer I've been busting my ass working on my portfolio I just want to say thank you I can now follow up and prepare for this apprenticeship and now I understand the real shit that you've gone through and now I can concentrate on what's coming up for me and for my future career thank you Johnny Gault

well said homie if its handed to you you didnt earn it ,if its on clearance its there for a reason quick easy sale . if you want it go get it blood sweat and tears "work hard renegade" all about dedication ALL OR NOTHING make something of yourself ,dont rely on someone making you into something ...and remember your only as good as your last tattoo!!!
Can you give advice on balancing a job/jobs with an apprenticeship. I'm really nervous about financial stability when I take the leap and cut a chunk out of the time I usually would be working(although I know that time will pay for it self when I learn the skills necessary for my future career)

I will be on the lookout for those tutorials.

What the actual fuck is wrong with people asking for free machines!??!?! I wonder how many of those go to their electornics shop and ask for a free TV or a free iphone or whatever.. like srsly.. wtf O.o I fucking ordered myself a cheap machine from ebay so I can practice on oranges, for months(!!!), before I will get a real handbuilt machine and start practicing on myself before even thinking on moving onto other people or "clients".. I'd straight out call out people on social media, fuck them..
I think whats funnier is that you dont have a following at all and when I saw your facebook your such a pathetic scratcher using chinese gear that all you have time to do is sit around and comment on EVERY single one of my videos that drops and harass people who need legit help. Grow up dude you`ll never be an artist until you start respecting people and yourself. Dude nicely said ...I just started well I can't say tattooing because I don't know shit about tattooing all I got Is one tatto and a crappy half ass tatto on my back...but I love the whole process the art of it the time and dedication one puts into a tatto.i bought my self a tatto gun for $25 brand new it's nothing fancy but it's a started and I'm already drawing stencils like crazy but haven't really focused on the whole process off tattooing but your right if you want to be someone you have to fight for your spot no one is just going give you a spot...you have to prove your worth as am artist now I don't even draw at all ever but as soon as I bought that machine all i do is draw...your videos really help me understand how to properly set up my machine how to actually start my journey of becoming a tatto artist I can't say I'll be someone great but I'm sure I'll be someone worth looking up...your awesome man please keep making these videos even if some stuck up little dicks get mad because they can't get what they want...i need these videos because they help me understand what I must do to fight for my spot thanks again for the videos man
