I think the dirt would still be faster because it’s designed to better handle the rear end stepping out. The pavement car would probably spin or have to slow down so much to prevent it from spinning.
@@caseybwomp did not know that. i thot it was all race gas. we ran airplane gas in late models in the late '60's. wasn't really legal tho. 🤣🤣🤣i was a kid on the pit crew then. gear changer.
Why don't you compare them to a pavement super late model. The dirt car will be lighter because they're 2400 lbs compared to a pavement super late model at 2800 lbs. Where some people may get mislead is the the NASCAR type late model is 3000 lbs and those type late models just run in N.C., S.C., Va., and east Tennessee. It's not like the NASCAR late model are raced all over the United States because they're not. Those dirt cars (depending on where you run them) have about unlimlited motors. But in a lot of places now the dirt late models as a weekly class run crate motors to keep the costs down.

That’s a good point. The dirt car is built to handle 900+ horsepower
good one! i never realized the dirt super late models had almost 1000hp! what if ya put an alcohol motor in a dirt late model?
410s run on ethanol
@@Reubenwray yes. thank you. i been followin' these things off & on for over 30yrs. i knew that. what i meant to say was a dirt late model.
