I loved this style of class. And I got almost all the questions right. Thank you for so generously sharing your knowledge with us, professor! Congratulations on your work! God bless you!
I’m glad to hear that. Listening is incredibly important when you are learning a new language, so I’m pleased to hear that this was helpful and useful!
Thanks Alex! It's very important to do excecices like that. We need listen and listen and listen for improving our English. You are the best, as usual.
Thanks Alex, I've been working on listening and answering questions like this lately. It's really helpful. Especially understanding and responding to what's being read. 👍🙏
This is a fantastic new video format! 🤩🤩🤩 I really enjoyed the short stories and the questions because it got my brain cells going.🧠😊 Especially with the bonus questions. I answered all the questions correctly. Even the bonus questions. I've never seen you do this kind of video before, and I hope you do more! 🙏🙏🙏👌👌👌 Thank you for this engaging video, Professor Alex. 🔥🔥🔥 The short stories were a great way to practice my listening skills.👂👂
Thanks Alex! Great job, I really enjoyed. I was able to get all the scenarios.. I just struggled with the answers a bit 😮 I’ll just keep trying.. thanks again
Hi Alex! As far as I'm concerned, this format of lesson is interesting too. It's requires slightly more attention because of necessary answering questions. There is no less your previous videos also really interesting and useful. So that I'd like you to go on doing both of them. Thanks a lot!
I appreciate the feedback! I'm glad you enjoy both formats. I definitely won't abandon my former video style, but I feel it's good to experiment and to bring fresh ideas and useful new materials to the table as well. Plus, there isn't a lot of listening-focused content on my channel, and I'd like to change that since I myself always tell students how important it is!
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. I really wanted to present this material in a clear way without any wasted words. I’m glad you found it useful.
You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it! This is a new video style for me, and I hope to make more lessons like this in the future. Listening is incredibly important.
Thank you for the opportunity to practice listening. I am from Ukraine, but due to the Russian invasion I was forced to leave my home and country. Although I have been living in an English-speaking environment for more than two years now, listening and speaking are still challenging for me. I think one of the reasons is that at school we had almost no listening and speaking practice in English classes, which was typical for the organization of learning any foreign language in the USSR. Nevertheless, I managed to cope with the quiz (what a pleasant surprise!): 12 correct answers out of 12. Your pronunciation is very clear. Thank you again for such useful tasks!
Thank you for sharing your story. I'm glad you're in a safer situation now, and that this was a useful resource for you. Listening and reading are the two most important things you can do to help yourself improve your language skills. I hope to make more lessons like this in the future.
@@engvidAlexIt seemed to me that your words of support were addressed not only to me personally, but also to all Ukrainians. If so, it really touches my heart. Yes, I am safe, thank you, but my friends and family, along with millions of other people, are in Ukraine, where missiles and drones hit residential high-rises, hospitals and shopping malls full of people every day (!). And I'm not even talking about the military, I'm talking about the war that the Russian Federation is waging against the civilian population. Children are dying, adults are dying, limbs and organs are being lost. I was teaching at a music school. Some of my graduates (violinists, clarinetists, vocalists, flutists, bandura players, etc.) are at the front, some are wounded, some are already dead. The Russians shot at my husband and me with a machine gun, right on the road, when we were driving in our own car. We were miraculously not hit, but the people in the next car were killed. This war causes so much pain! But, you know, it was learning English that saved me from depression back in 2022

Close! Allow me to make some corrections: Today, our teacher Alex is teaching a new lesson which asks questions about four different scenarios. Thanks for participating in the discussion. I appreciate it.
I think it could be understood as both. Because you have the questions on the board during the entire listening, you can listen and answer them in your mind as you go. You can also open up a document to write your answers, or write them in a notebook as you go. But I see what you're saying and appreciate your perspective. I will keep it in mind for future listening lessons.
sorry teacher,,, but in 3er scenario,, i made a little mistake. You said he got out of the bed and go to the kitchen to wash his hands and face and brush his hair, and get dressed,, and after that go to the kitchen,,, so how is it possible in due he was in the kitchen? maybe he had 2 different kitchen?
@@engvidAlex sorry teacher again,,, you said,: After i get out of bed, i go to the kitchen, wash my hands and face, brush my hair, and get dressed, then ........You never mentioned about go to the bathroom,,, again sorry but you did it
Oh my goodness, you're right. Good catch! I meant to say "bathroom," and my original script definitely said bathroom as well. Now I feel silly. Sorry about that!
