I'm going to think of this film every time I drive a car at Disneyland's Autopia.

"The future was a chrome-trimmed triangular window in the front of dad's car, and it had its own knob to open it up. The future was a hamburger under a light fixture that looked like an atom. The future was going to be *awesome*!" - James Lileks, The Bleat
Whatever happened to that fantastic future they used to dream of?

***** "They," maybe that's your problem right there. I do dream of it. The only way an idea's kept alive is if those alive keep the idea.

I like all kinds of zeerust (old timey futuristic) concept cars like the Firebird 2. My favorite is Lincoln Futura, which is best known as the Batman 1966 batmobile. Firebird 2 could have been used as a shark-themed superheroes car.

There are quite a number of reasons WHY they didn't mass produce some of those cars...but they still look good...and all of those are still around!

Description is wrong; it's not a trip back in time, it's a trip into the future.

Her apron is showing! Quick get her to the kitchen! LOL, how times have changed.

It's funny how they slapped her an apron and told her to rush to the kitchen.... They wouldn't have been able to get away with that one now-a-days! hehe :P

Most of the people in that audience are dead. The dog is definitely dead.

Pontiac and Olds are dead, Buick is just a shadow of its old self and Cadillac just sells SUV’s now. Thankfully Corvette is still going strong. And who the hell ever had a kitchen that looked like that?!

Americans spoke beautiful English then. Their English is slovenly now. In fact their English was better than English spoken by the educated classes of England itself.
