What you said makes no sense, are you arguing against or for turtleneck? Cause Leather Turtlneck has outright better protection than the Dark Leather shirt with more arm coverage. 25% vs 90%, I think that makes the choice obvious for a 2 layer arm protection.
I wish the armor king actually had an armor smithing stat of 100, or at least a ‘racial’ buff for it. He’s essentially a combat boi that sells armor. Good test, I didn’t know crab armor was so good lol

My characters use similar equipment. Using Crossbow in kenshi makes the game very easy, so I don't use it. My main character with the Crossbow level 96 and martial arts level 100 is unstoppable.

Easy stuff I just let the Falling Sun mob handle it. Don't quite have the resources to start crosstraining people yet, but I almost have a full 30-man platoon of STR 60 dudes, after which I'll reave around for a while before building my base.

Of course, it depends on the weapon you use and the weapon your enemy uses. if you are fighting against several high skilled enemies who have weapons with great Cutting Damage then it is better to use a Blackened Chainmail.

I think the easiest way is to craft that armor. Blueprint can be purchased from the smithy in Crab Town, if you're their ally. Or stolen from there, if you're not. There is also 10% chance that the Crab Queen will wear Masterwork crab armor.
I think this combination is good for Medium-High skilled recruits that needs heavy armour protection : Samurai Boots , Samurai Armour , Samurai Legplates, Crab Helmet, Leather Turtleneck. All in masterwork quality :D
Skeletons make best end game tanks, they are slightly harder to train up since they don’t have a toughness or attack bonus, but still pretty good. For stealth/crossbows I recommend give Prince or scorchlander, depends on how many other party members you have and if you can protect your hive princes, since they have pretty low hp.

So you get more hits but their damage will be lower. In my opinion, Crab armor is more advantageous mainly against a huge number of enemies with a low level of combat skills. If you are fighting against a small group of strong enemies, it is important not only to get as few hits as possible but also to give as many hits as possible to the enemy, so in this case it is better to use Samurai armor which reduces dexterity less. I think it is better in most situations to use Samurai armor .
@@Neocytol im using a mod that buffs the shit out of the souther hive, and once i capture their queen they will send like 100 units with stats from high 60s to 100 in theor commanders, what armour would be the best? Im thinking masterwork samurai since it is still very protective but will also be beneficial for my troops since it wont hinder them as much as crab, also great video i really like your content
