Hi, thank you for the great content. I had knee surgery a week ago and starting the recovery process. I want to train towards a specific event that is 7 months away. It is a 4 day XC stage race, with a total of 274km distance and 4500m elevation gain over 4 days. (PE to Plett) Do you have any advice on the preparation for an event like this? (with post-operation recovery in mind) I will be riding my Giant Anthem X1 29" bike with Sram Eagle GX 1x12 groupset. I will be upgrading the wheels in the next couple of months.

      Hi there Jan!
The PE2Plett is a great goal! The good news is that you have plenty of time!
Our take would be to listen to your doctors focusing on proper rehabilitation of your knee before you begin any form of stressful training.
Before being able to answer the rest of your question, what is your goal at PE2Plett? For example - a certain position, an outcome.
