    I like her. She's positive but not needlessly bubbly or fake (even though there's nothing wrong with bubbly, I just find her kind and comforting and genuine). This seems like REAL HEALTH advice and not weight loss focused or unrealistic like instagram type lifestyles. She's not shamey or self righteous which I like. And even when I don't want to take her advice, I don't feel guilty about it. I love her and the channel :)

    I wish my mother could understand English (I'm from Germany) just so I could show her your channel. She has a very bad relationship with food ever since I can think (if she isn't dieting at the moment she may eat but never really enjoys it because she feels guilty). She read a lot of books about how bad carbs are and that you should eat lowcarb/highprotein and so on and has incredibly unrealistic eating habit goals. Everytime she gets off track she blames herself for it. I am so sad that this is the 'normal life' for many people (especially women) and I tried to talk to her about it over a million times but my words don't do anything because she thinks that my kind of eating would never suit her and that she would gain weight if she tried because she is 30 years older then me. She tries to tell herself that she does this all because she wants to be healthy but I don't think that defining your health by weight and how good you are at forcing yourself to do something you don't enjoy isn't that good to be honest...
    Sorry I went a bit offtopic, just wanted to tell you that I love your videos and I think they are very helpful for many people

    • @juliapanda4549
      @juliapanda4549 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Das ist nicht normal, ich glaube und bin mir sehr sicher, dass deine Mutter eine Essstörung hat und ich denke du solltest sie darüber überreden eine Therapie anzufangen. Es kam wahrscheinlich schon in ihrer Jugend vor (weil du meintest, seit du denken könntest oder so) und jetzt verfolgen sie die essgestörten Gedanken. Versuch es mal, und sprich sie drauf an. Es dauert etwas lange aber vllt schaffst du es.

    • @DEdmondW
      @DEdmondW 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Es muss nicht gleich eine Essstörung sein, Ich selber kämpfe einen bald täglichen Kampf mit mir selber und das schon seit 30 Jahren. Alle um mich herum sagen, dass ich doch gar nicht dick sei (aktuell 90kg auf 1,73) aber ICH sehe halt nur mein nacktes Spiegelbild und hasse es. Vor zwei Jahren war ich runter auf 73kg (auf Kaloriendefizit geachtet, viel getrunken, 1x die Woche Sport) aber mich haut's raus, sobald ich emotionalem Stress ausgesetzt bin (meine Mutter starb). Dann habe ich einfach nicht die Zeit, es ist mir egal, es gibt wichtigeres zu tun.
      However, es ist unheimlich schwierig jemandem ein jahrelang aufgebautes, kaputtes Selbstbild zu nehmen. Es tut mir sehr leid, dass deine Ma sich nicht akzeptieren kann. Ich würde mich auch gern so nehmen, wie ich bin es ist aber einfach ultra schwer diese Dämonen aus dem Kopf zu bekommen. Dabei is abnehmen so leicht eigentlich.

      miristtotallw You are an evolving human extension of your mom and that is incredible. Your actions will make a change, even by eating regularly in front of her or just simply being that light that you can shine on food. I send both of you love and awareness!! My mother is the same way and it disoriented my view on food throughout my life... We are the ones who will break this cycle of inconsistent love hate relationships with food! ❤️

The bread satisfies carb cravings, the nut butter satisfies salt cravings and the apple satisfies sweet cravings. Sometimes I bake the apple with cinnamon and a bit of syrup on a bed of oats.

    Thankyou for uploading this video. Well actually I have binged over a binge by just sleeping right and no watching TV at night before sleeping(although I have to still work on the eat to sleep gap). Because watching TV Or surfing net makes you eat chocolate,chips etc etc. I just did one thing right, which is working on my sleeping pattern. When you sleep well all the things goes well with that and yes! Morning exercise is must for me, which activates your body and running your day well in advance. I don’t feel now I am “catching” the things of a day like preparing for morning meal, getting my daughter ready for school and completing my house hold work.
    if I take a note from this video. Completing my sleep cycle (7hrs) made me not to do binging And exercising every day at 5:00 to 6:00am
    Your videos are nice 👍🏼 and love to hear you Sadia !!!!!! Love Megha

    I discovered your chanel last week and really loved it. I realized a few weeks ago that my sweet cravings weren't hunger but just wanted something sweet in my mouth. When I feel that way, I drink a glass of water and eat a date or 2. It helped me also to reduce my sugar intakes and appreciate natural sugar.

    I have been on a health and fitness journey for over 6 months now, with the help of a fantastic personal coach. I have lost 10kg so far by changing my eating habits and by working out with heavy weights 2-3 times a week. What has worked for me to reduce snacking (in general, not just late night): Whenever I am tempted by food, I ask myself “Do I love this food more than feeling and looking great? More than my achievements this far?” and in 99% the answer is No. Then I just don’t eat it.

    this explains my eating habits so much. I'm a graze eater. I eat a meal and then I'm hungry again 1-2 hours later. (it's so annoying!) I get sugar cravings between 1-4 at work even though I have lunch. Now, that makes sense because I'm tired and my brain is craving energy. So far, I've found herbal tea and unsweetened sparkling water helps my cravings. fruit is more satisfying and doesn't leave you craving for more the way added sugar does.

    I just found your videos and it made me realize yet again how thankful we can be to live in countries where we can actually choose to eat regularly and mindfully. I feel like cutting down the amount of binge eating and focusing more on what we can actually enjoy fully would contribute to a more aware lifestyle of those who have enough food around them at any time. I really hope that these new habits will help overcome the world's hunger problem. sending love ❤

    The thing that helped me the most was starting intermittent fasting. It was hard in the begining but with time eating two bigger meals helped me stay full and I very rearly have any cravings now and it is much easier to differenciate cravings from hunger which I had problems with before.

    Ever since I switched my diet from vegetarian to whole, plant based, vegan lifestyle (I generally don't use oil or processed foods w/ the exception of organic nut butter, while making your muesli recipe, which calls for 1 spoon of olive oil, & coffee), I have been noticing that if I eat whole grains, legumes, & cooked veggies (like potatoes) before bed, I wake up feeling extremely bloated. The sheer volume of legumes I eat now compared to the amount I used to eat is astounding, and I'm aware that my gut is in the process of healing, & hence it's going to take a while before I stop feeling so bloated from digesting legumes. I soak both my grains & legumes (the latter one overnight) prior to cooking them to reduce discomfort.
    Drinking large quantities of water when I wake up & right before bed helps tremendously.
    Finally I've come to rely on kale & beets for regularity & gut health: those two veggies plus water have become my daily invaluable sources of fiber for optimum health.
    So even though I don't restrict my intake of healthy carbs during the day, I am vigilant about not eating anything but fruit & veggies right before bed. Currently watermelon & kiwis are in season, so I eat both of those before bed (if I'm having cravings) w/out any ramifications. Bananas are a huge source of sweet comfort food for me as well all throughout the day.
