0:24 -- The pic about the horses, donkeys and mules that died during WWI broke my heart!
Those Hong Kong apartments look soooo cozy (NOT!).
Love that picture of Hitchcock dressed like Ringo Starr on the drums, complete with a Beatle wig. 😂❤
Looks like Moe
Please keep captions up longer. Thanks.
🙄
First photo: I've seen that pose many times and always wondered why people who only knew radio always seemed to be staring at the radio as they listened. The only eason I can think of is they were actually seeing the "program" in their heads like a personal movie, especially the old stories like "Gang Busters," "Boston Blackie," "Gunsmoke," and comedies like Jack Bennie and Fibber McGee and Molly. There were dozens of them in the "Golden Age of Radio."
Interesting observation about staring at the radio.
back in the day when people still had imaginations
1:05 Elvis during his time in the Army. How many modern entertainers can claim THAT? Snoop Dog? Diddy? Eminem? LOL
i enjoyed his talking about germany and it got so cold he was popping bennies just to stay warm and awake lol.
Very interesting, but not enough time to read subtitles.
Hi, pause it)
Ummmm…..most are only 3-4 words 🙄
Or see the cover shot .
Truly very interesting. Thanks.
Cafeteria for Disney employee's, looks like Ben Johnson and Vera Miles sitting at the table.
Amazing range
Martin Luther's "I have a Dream," has turned into, "I wish this nightmare was over."
So powerful photos!!! ❤
People back then were so much kinder then now. I’m ashamed of us in 2024.
We had manners
Just because you have bad manners doesn’t mean everybody does. Some of the most well mannered people are young teens and twenty year olds of all colors.
People from marginalized communities respectfully disagree. The past was never better for us.
Good grief! Woody's having lunch with Buzz Lightyear and the whole gang!!! 😂
Incredible.
Casey Drabble is the woman in the photo of the female pilot, not Shirley Slade. It was actually taken in 2016 and is a fake history photo.
Thanks for clarifying. 😊
The MGM Lion!
overwhelmed👍👍👍👍👍etc.
You think the ice cream machines worked in the 70's at McDonald's?
Interesting to see that the McDonald's menu from the 70s lists Coca Cola.
But whenever you tried to order Coca Cola at a McDonald's (in the UK) in the 70s you got the automatic response "that's McDonald's cola".
It is nice to see kids that age reading back in 47 probably 98% of them know how to read back then. Now it's 98% DON'T know how to read !
A zebra drawn carriage?? How much money did that turkey have?
Still prefer the old black and white photos far more thought provoking 👍 thanks enjoyed the video 😎
1 pic I'd use the word powerful for , WW1 horses and donkeys ,the rest not so much
Wow
Back in the day when children could actually read. And do math with a pencil and paper.
Great photos, but how would you know that I have "never seen" any of them. actually, I have seen some of them. I have seen Churchill as Ringo Starr; Elvis and his parents, MLK speaking and Hitler in the Reichstag, however, I have never seen zebras pulling a carriage! Thank you.
You weird.
@@madwhitehare3635 No, just telling the truth, and I am not asking you to like it.
Not Churchill as Ringo Starr; rather Hitchcock as Ringo Starr.
Yes, my mistake, thank you.
You took the titles away too soon.
Click-bait! There is no photo of Muhammad Ali and Bob Dylan seated on a bench.
Yeah, I thought Bob Dylan was incapable of laughing.
Why was Steve Jobs wearing female clothing?
Random crapula
nothing wrong with outlining the range of a topic. I thought these were well chosen. That ladies' afro in New York in the 1970s ... Hitler declaring war ... both photos saying something about who we are
Wasted 8 minutes watching some stupid historic photos.
Thank you for putting a picture of Russian there.Appreciate it
