Love the shorts theme for shortie September. I am not participating, but it looks fun. I just read The Secret of the Old Clock and the second book and compared them to the first two Hardy Boys. Nancy is definitely superior, in my opinion.
Island of the Blue Dolphins!!! I LOVE that book!!! That is such a good idea!!❤️😍❤️ Oh man I hope you like Wide Sargasso Sea. Ooh I also love Basil E Frankweiler when I was a kid - it made me think that if I ever ran away from home, I'd live in the museum 😅. This is a fab list!!
Between Bert’s prompts and Heather’s tarot card images, Shorty September is a lot of fun. From the Mixed Up Files (I will zip off the last part of the title) could do double duty as participation in our art readathon: Framed! in September. Happy reading!
I remember reading Island of the Blue Dolphins when I was younger and crying my eyes out, so good luck with that; I don't remember anything about that book but the tears I shed lol
This is so exciting! I can’t wait to see what you think of Carmilla, and the food pairing for Count Olaf sounds yummy. I’ve never had it, so curious to see yours and what you think of it. 😊
❤📚❤️ Great mixed bag. I hope you enjoy them. I loved Pippi Longstocking. Gift from the Sea is very good. A friend gave it to me for my birthday last year. Edit: I have a big tbr for September already, but decided to pick two very short books. I'll be reading The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros (1984) and Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton (Romance/Historical Fiction)
Love your book to movie pick! We LOVE overthinking the shorties too. 😂 Ooo! Count Olaf pasta! Amazing!
@@pastorytime2683 the overthinking may be half the fun 😅
Great stack❤ ! Love that Pippi Longstockings film , and hope you enjoy your reads📚

Welcome!!! Have the best month 🎉
I used to LOVE the 1988 Pippi movie…watched part of it again as an adult and boy is it awful hahaha
@@astarreads4214 😂 I was wondering about this
I kinda prefer Carmilla over Dracula.
@@AaronReadABook I’ve heard other people say that too! Dracula was just ok for me so it’s only up from there!
